RACE 4 (R625) CLASS 5a – 1500M (A lc)
2 SHENG PROISIR
(M Ewe) Dipped slightly shortly after the start and then was taken wide and raced wide until straightening.
3 TRIPLE ONE STAR
(App WW Cheah) Raced wide throughout and drifted out passing 350M causing runner to steady.
4 MIEJ
(App M Lukman) Crowded slightly at the start. After taking initial evidence, the Stewards adjourned the Inquiry at a date to be fixed.

(S Ruzaini) Steadied to avoid heels near the 350M.

(Y Aify) Veered outwards at the start, crowding runner.
The Stewards, on 23 June 2023, reconvened an inquiry into App M Lukman’s riding of MIEJ in the above race. Evidence was taken from App M Lukman, the rider of MIEJ, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, Trainer WC Lim who is also the trainer of MIEJ.
After considering the evidence and viewing the performance of MIEJ, App M Lukman was found guilty of a charge under MRA Rule 44(10) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards. The particulars of the charge being:
1. He allowed MIEJ to drift back in the field to a rearward position between the 1300M and the 1000M;
2. Failed to attempt to improve his position, when clear to do so between the 1000M and at the turn into the straight;
3. Restrained MIEJ with his left arm whilst feigning the use of the whip near the 300M.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App M Lukman’s mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) month with effect from 24 June 2023 and to expire on 23 July 2023, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

(App I Fikri) Bumped and shortly after the start, had to be restrained and was then impeded. Had to be taken outwards passing the 200M and was then inclined to lay inwards.

(MM Firdaus) From its outside barrier, was carried outwards, losing considerable ground and thereby having to be ridden rearward.

On inquiry, App T Ammar, the rider of AWESOME STORM, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, S Dunderdale, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that he shifted in at this stage causing KONG FU PANDA to be restrained.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App T Ammar’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, his unblemished riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Selangor race days with effect from 12 June 2023 and to expire on 2 July 2023, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

On inquiry, Jockey Y Aify, the rider of TERMS OF REFERENCE, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that he allowed his mount to shift in, carrying BIG BAD MAMA to be crowded and MAGNOLIA BLVD to be checked severely.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey Y Aify’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days, to be deferred, with effect from 18 June 2023 and to expire on 24 June 2023, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
