RACE 1 (R867) CLASS 5(B) – 1400m (lc) LEECH HANDICAP

Acting on veterinary advice that TAN’S MAESTRO had sustained a bruised off fore sole, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 12.45pm and the gelding will be required to pass veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

YULONG DREAM (App P Haris) jumped away awkwardly

CAPE LINCOLN (HS Gill) jumped awkwardly inwards.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry, Jockey SS Vanan, the rider of RAISE ME UP pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 41(6)(b) for using his whip in an excessive manner.

In assessing the penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into consideration Jockey SS Vanan’s record and mitigating factors. He was fined a sum of RM500/- and was advised of his right of appeal (1.38pm).

QUEEN FORCE (CK Tan) faltered at the 700M-mark.

RACE 3 (R869) CLASS 5 (A) – 1400m (lc) BREWSTER HANDICAP

SING EXPRESS which was up 15kgs in body weight while JEFFREY was down 23kgs in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

As Jockey S Muniandy was medically stood down, the Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey M Yusri to replace him as the rider of SING EXPRESS.

MYSTICAL STAR (App S Hafis) was slow into stride.

JEFFREY (App AR Aiman) and PROVE IT (Y Aify) brushed on jumping.

Jockey AK Lim, the rider of MR ROCKWELL dropped his whip approaching the 200M-mark. The Panel of Stewards investigated this matter and after consideration, took no further action.

RACE 4 (R870) CLASS 4(B) -1400m (lc) TAMBUN HANDICAP

Emergency acceptors GUNFORHIRE, STAGESHOW and DIAMOND RUSH were withdrawn due to a capacity field.

FIGHTING WARRIOR which was down 28kgs in body weight since it last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

CRACKING TOTTIE (App A Saran) threw its head up badly at the start, losing considerable ground. At a subsequent Inquiry, App A Saran, the rider of CRACKING TOTTIE in the presence of his master Trainer T Asogan was found guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(10) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards.

The details of the charge are that:

App A Saran failed to give the horse sufficient reins on jumping, resulting in CRACKING TOTTIE being fractious, throwing its head up badly and losing considerable ground.

In assessing the penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into consideration his riding record and mitigating factors. App A Saran was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) month with effect from Monday, 8^th November 2021 and to expire on Tuesday, 7^th December 2021, both dates inclusive. He was informed of his right of appeal (5.48 pm).

RACE 5 (R871) CLASS 4(B) – 1400m(lc) GOPENG HANDICAP

D’GREAT MAGIC and LUKE MAN, both course scratching as they sustained bruised near fore suspensory and corneal ulcer right eye respectively, each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

Emergency acceptor BANGKOK BOY was withdrawn due to a capacity field.

IPOH DASH (App S Hafis) struck the right hand side of the barrier as the start was affected, resulting in this horse being slow to begin. IPOH DASH will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.

STORM WARNING (CK Tan) which stood and was slow to begin, will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.

CHAR KWAY TEOW (C Goon) was caught wide in the early and middle stages.

Approaching the 300M-mark, MR DAVID (Y Aify) shifted out over the heels of RULE THE WORLD (HS Gill) and in so doing, carried IPOH DASH and CHAR KWAY TEOW outwards.

Passing the 200M-mark, AUSSIE EAGLE (CK Khaw) rolled outwards, brushing STORM WARNING (CK Tan).

Jockey HS Gill, the rider of RULE THE WORLD reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of RULE THE WORLD revealed no obvious abnormality.

LION KING, a course scratching as it sustained nail bind off fore , will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again

Emergency acceptor EMKI EMPRESS was withdrawn due to a capacity field.

Acting on veterinary advice that DESTINY CHILD had sustained a cut to its left stifle, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 3.46pm and the mare will be required to pass veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that UPTOWN GIRL (Y Aify) had cast its near hind plate at the saddling enclosure and had to be re-shod.

BABY BOSS (J Low) which was pulling hard, was difficult to settle in the early stages.

BIG POWER (HS Gill) was obliged to race wide on the turn.

Approaching the 300M-mark, BABY BOSS which was laying in, rolled in slightly, crowding and inconveniencing AUTUMN BLITZ (AK Lim).

A post-race veterinary examination of UPTOWN GIRL revealed no obvious abnormality.

SYMBOL OF COURAGE, a course scratching as it has sustained a bruised left hip, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

SACRED TONIC (CK Khaw) jumped awkwardly, getting its head up.

STAR GENIUS threw its head up on jumping, striking Jockey KC Wong on his face and thereafter, was slow into stride.

The saddle on MACARTHUR slipped badly to the right hand side during the running, resulting in App YY Oon being unable to assist. A post-race veterinary examination of MACARTHUR revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 8 (R874) CLASS 5(B) – 1200m (sc) TIGER LANE HANDICAP

Emergency acceptor LOYALTY’S ANGEL was withdrawn due to a capacity field.

Trainer T Asogan, the trainer of QUASAR was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for wrongly declaring App A Saran on QUASAR instead of App P Haris.

Trainer S Hamilton, the trainer of GOLDEN STATES was fined RM250/- under PRTC Official programme Clause 12(a) for failing to present the gelding for its pre-race blood test within the stipulated time.

MAJOR GREEN (R Rueven) which was extremely difficult to load, will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.

Trainer Siva Kumar A/L D Subramaniam was fined RM200.00 under MRA Rule 152(5)(b) as his syce Jefrizal Bin Mohamed Jamil (MRA no.: S.618) failed to follow the SOP set by Perak Turf Club when entering the club premises on 4^th November 2021.

RACE 1 (R849) CLASS 5(B) – 1400m (lc) HOCUS POCUS HANDICAP

KEEN DRAGON and GOLDEN EMPIRE, both course scratching as they had sustained a bruised near hind fetlock and corneal ulcer on its right eye respectively, each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

SANGKURIANG which was up 33kg in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

SING DARCI (HS Gill) was slow to begin.

MAGICAL PARK (I Amirul) was slow into stride.

SING DARCI which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

Jockey HS Gill, the rider of SING DARCI reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of SING DARCI revealed no obvious abnormality.

Prior to the ‘All Clear’ being given, an objection was lodged by Jockey R Rueven, the rider of SUCCESS STREET, placed 2^nd against THUNDERSTRUCK (KC Wong), being declared the winner on grounds of alleged interference at about the 250M to the 100M-mark. After considering all the evidence, the Panel of Stewards were of the opinion that the alleged interference had not affected the result of the race. The objection was overruled and the results stood.

The Panel of Stewards questioned Trainer K Coetzee, the trainer of SING DARCI with regards to the disappointing performance of SING DARCI. He was unable to offer any explanations and confirmed that he was also very disappointed with the run. Trainer K Coetzee was advised to report back to the Stewards should he finds anything amiss with SING DARCI during the week, which may have accounted for the run. His attention was drawn to MRA Rule 117(3) regarding in-and-out running.

RACE 2 (R850) CLASS 5(B) – 1400m (lc) SLIMER HANDICAP

BALBOA and TAN’S LEGENDARY which were up 24kgs and 27kgs in body weight respectively while EMPIRE BAY was down 19kgs in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

MY FIRST MILLION which was fractious in the barrier, jumped extremely awkwardly and was slow to begin. In this incident, Jockey HK Cheng struck his head on the top of the barrier. MY FIRST MILLION will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.

SECOND CHANCE (App S Hafis), LIM’S LEADER (HS Gill), NAPOLEON (S Saddam) and INDOMITABLE SPEED (App I Firdzriel) were slow into stride.

ROCK ME EASY (S Muniandy) hung out at the later stages.

A post-race veterinary examination of INDOMITABLE SPEED revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that BALBOA (App R Lingarajan) returned having cast its off hind plate.

App S Hafis who rode his 40^th winner on SECOND CHANCE and hence, he will be entitled to claim 2kgs with effect from Monday, 1^st November 2021.

SUPREME JUSTICE, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised near fore pastern, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

IPOH DASH which was up 16kgs body weight and MY FRIENDS was down 25kgs in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

MY FRIENDS (R Rueven) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to start.

IPOH DASH (App S Hafis) which cast its near fore plate behind the barriers, had to be re-shod, was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.

SONNY BILL (S Muniandy) and GET THE LOTSKI (M Yusri) were slow into stride.

SONNY BILL was difficult to settle and was pulling hard in the early stages.

The saddle on SONNY BILL slipped backwards during the running of the race and this was confirmed by the Stewards.

MY FRIENDS which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

Jockey S Muniandy, the rider of SONNY BILL reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of SONNY BILL revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Panel of Stewards questioned Jockey S Muniandy, the rider of SONNY BILL and Trainer K Coetzee, the trainer of SONNY BILL with regards to the performance of SONNY BILL. Jockey S Muniandy explained that the gelding was pulling hard and was very difficult to settle and approaching the 800M, he shifted out to avoid the heels of runners in front of him. Trainer K Coetzee was of the opinion that the 1400M today was possibly too short and he undertook to race this gelding over more ground in future. The Panel of Stewards were not entirely satisfied with their explanations but took no further action.

Acting on Veterinary advised that NATUREISSPEAKING had sustained a cut to its tongue, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1.00pm and the gelding will be required to pass veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

MICHAELEARNSTOROCK which was up 25kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

FLYING EBONY (App A Saran) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to start.

YOU ARE GENIUS (R Rueven) which was pulling hard, was obliged to race wide on the turn.

RACE 5 (R853) CLASS 5(A) – 1200M(sc) WITCHES & WARLOCKS HANDICAP

SILENT BOSS which was up 16kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

LUCKY GIANT (AK Lim) was slow into stride.

POWER EXPRESS (M Yusri) lugged out on jumping, inconveniencing THAI BAHT (App S Hafis).

The saddle on POWER EXPRESS slipped backwards during the running of the race and this was confirmed by the Stewards.

Jockey HS Gill, the rider of DON’T FORGET THIS reported that the gelding was making an abnormal respiratory noise during the race. A post-race veterinary examination of DON’T FORGET THIS which was impounded, revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Panel of Stewards questioned Trainer PK Leong and Jockey HS Gill, the trainer of and the rider of DON’T FORGET THIS respectively with regards to the disappointing performance today, as compared to its run last week on 23^rd October 2021 when it won the race. Jockey HS Gill stated that after jumping well, the gelding had no early pace and compounded in the straight. Trainer PK Leong was unable to offer any explanations. DON’T FORGET THIS will now be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

DISCRETELY RED, PLACE YOUR BET and FAST AND SUPER, all course scratching as they had sustained sore back, bruised off fore fetlock and bruised off hind cannon respectively, each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

SPLENDOR and YES BOSSY which were up 16kgs and 17kgs respectively in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

SPLENDOR (S Muniandy) and PALTROW (App S Hafis) were slow into stride.

Jockey HS Gill, the rider of YES BOSSY reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of YES BOSSY revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that EASY SOUTH EAST (M Yusri) returned with severe heat stress and was administered an emergency treatment.

The Panel of Stewards questioned Trainer PK Leong, the trainer of CROWN STAR with regards to its improved performance today. Trainer PK Leong was unable to offer any explanation. His attention was drawn to MRA Rule 117(3) regarding in-and-out running and he was warned that if this horse builds up a pattern of inconsistent running in future, the gelding may be suspended.

Post-race veterinary surgeon reported that MIRACLE TIME (MRA NO. H138) sustained a laceration to the back of the right hind limb cannon region during the running of Race 5 on 23^rd October 2021. The gelding will required to pass a veterinary exam before being declared to race again

GENERAL REPORT – PNTC

Trainer Ooi Chin Chin was fined RM200 for allowing his horse to do fast work on a track designated for slow work (Sand Track), at 7.45am on Friday, 22^nd October 2021.

On 14^th July 2021, Syce Irwadi Bin Muhamat of Trainer Ooi Chin Chin was fined RM200.00 under MRA Rule 152(5)(b) for failing to follow the SOP set by Penang Turf Club when entering the club premises.

On 3^rd October 2021, Syce Mohd Azam Bin Hamid of Trainer Bonny Ng was find RM200.00 under MRA Rule 152(5)(b) for failing to follow the SOP set by Penang Turf Club when entering the club premises.

LIM’S MASTER (App AR Raiyan) was slow into stride.

On straightening, the saddle on ELEGENT (J Daniel) shifted sideways with Jockey J Daniel becoming unbalanced for some distance.

After coming off the cutaway, SMART WARRIOR (App K Pavinthran) shifted in considerably, crowding SILENT PRINCE (App Clyde Leck). App K Pavinthran was reprimanded for failing to keep his mount straight.

When questioned, App AB Riduan (BOUNCEBACK ABILITY) stated that his horse had coughed on straightening and then failed to respond to his urging. A post-race veterinary examination of BOUNCEBACK ABILITY revealed no significant finding.

RACE 2 (R818) CLASS 5 (A) – 1600M (LONG COURSE)

After being loaded, SMART RACER (App Clyde Leck) got out under the front gate and galloped riderless. The gelding was withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 1:50pm. This caused a delay of several minutes. Trainer C Leck was advised that SMART RACER will be required to pass a 1000M/vet (from the Starting Stall) test before being declared to race again. The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that SMART RACER had sustained a laceration on its right thigh.

HAPPY LUCKY STAR (L De Souza) dwelt at the start, losing considerable ground and veered outwards. Jockey L De Souza stated that HAPPY LUCKY STAR had reacted in this manner due to the delay.

PEARL DANCER (C Goon) veered outwards at the start, inconveniencing ELITE BEAST (App AR Raiyan).

Jockey HS Gill (WILLIAM KING) reported that running to the 600M, he was struck in the face by a clod and was unsighted for some distance.

The saddle on HAPPY LUCKY STAR slipped backwards on straightening.

O’REILLY BAY (Y Aify) returned having cast its off fore plate.

RACE 3 (R819) CLASS 4 (A) – 1500M (LONG COURSE)

When the start was effected, SOUTHERN MAN refused to jump and lost 50M before exiting the stalls. In light of its behaviour, SOUTHERN MAN will be required to pass 2 tests (1000M/vet from the Starting Stall) before being declared to race again.

After being slow to begin, JOCKEY KING (KC Wong) raced erratically in the straight and when making ground quickly, had to be restrained and taken inwards off the heels of TRIPLE ONE STAR (L De Souza) near the 200M. JOCKEY KING then ran onto the heels of BUFFALO SOLDIER (J Daniel) and had to be checked outwards near the winning post. Jockey KC Wong stated that JOCKEY KING had jumped slowly and in the straight, was inclined to lay inwards. When making ground, he attempted to steer the gelding in between runners. The Stewards warned Jockey KC Wong that he must ride with greater caution under similar circumstances in future.

SOUTHERN MAN laid inwards considerably in the straight.

BUFFALO SOLDIER returned having cast its near fore plate.

HUSSONATOR (App WW Cheah) dwelt at the start, then veered outwards when the start was effected, losing considerable ground. Trainer R Lines was advised that HUSSONATOR will be required to pass a 1000M/vet (from the Starting Stall) test before being declared to race again.

TURF PRINCESS (HK Cheng) was slow into stride.

RACE 5 (R821) CLASS 4 (A) – 1100M (SHORT COURSE)

Objection was lodged by Trainer SY Lim, the Trainer of HOWL (App R Nuqman), the second place-getter, against BILLY MOJO (HK Cheng), being declared the winner, alleging interference at the 800M and again the 400M. The Panel of Stewards dismissed the objection and advised Trainer SY Lim that his objection bordered on being frivolous.

D’GREAT BOSS (J Shankar) was fractious in the stalls prior to the start and reared. D’GREAT BOSS again reared as the start was effected, thereby losing considerable margin and thereafter trailed the field. In light of this, Trainer S Dunderdale was advised that D’GREAT BOSS will be required to pass a 1000M/vet (from the Starting Stall) test before being declared to race again.

Shortly after the start, BLUE HAWAII (App N Varmah) steadied.

Near the 800M, BILLY MOJO and HOWL shifted in causing D’GREAT JOURNEY (AK Lim) to momentarily steady.

Passing the 100M, Jockey R Rueven (BAHAMA MAMA) restrained his horse when the mare strode badly. A post-race veterinary examination of BAHAMA MAMA revealed that it suffered a right hind condylar fracture. The mare was subsequently humanely euthanized.

ARROGATE ACHIEVER (App N Varmah) was squeezed shortly after the start, losing ground.

DRONE (App WW Cheah) and REDOUBT (KC Tham) raced wide throughout.

IT’S GOT IT ALL (KP Lim) laid outwards over the concluding 100M.

When questioned, App WW Cheah stated that DRONE had failed to show its customary gate speed from its outside draw, he had been unable to be in a prominent position and had been trapped wide. Although putting DRONE under pressure in the straight, he was of the opinion that his wide barrier had taken its toll as the gelding failed to respond. A post-race veterinary examination of DRONE revealed no significant finding.

A post-race veterinary examination of CONFLIGHT (Y Aify) revealed that it was lame near fore and as such will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again.

RACE 7 (R823) OPEN MAIDEN (WFA) – 1200M (SHORT COURSE)

METEOR LOUI (R Rueven) proved difficult to load. Trainer SY Lim was advised that METEOR LOUI will be required to pass a 1000M/vet (from the Starting Stall) test before being declared to race again. A post-race veterinary examination of METEOR LOUI revealed that it was lame off fore.

SIEW YUK (C Goon), MAINSTREAM (App N Varmah) and BABY BOSS (KC Wong) were slow into stride.

In the early and middle stages, CHEYENNE DANCER (AK Lim) and METEOR LOUI were inclined to race greenly.

Jockey WK Lee (JOJU) was warned for continuing to use his whip when his mount was clearly winning.

The Stewards questioned App WW Cheah as to his riding of READY TO GOOD LUCK. He stated that he had been instructed to attempt to settle the gelding preferably in a handy-to-mid position. READY TO GOOD LUCK had raced very keenly and he tried to settle the gelding by sitting back, thus explaining his bumping on the saddle. He further advised that the gelding had shied on several occasions mid-race and was inclined to race with its head high and he had kept his hands in low position to combat this tendency. The Stewards noted his explanation. A post-race veterinary examination of READY TO GOOD LUCK revealed that it returned lame off fore and broken-winded. The gelding will be required to undergo a veterinary examination at rest and pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again.

A post-race veterinary examination of SELANGOR EXPRESS (App R Nuqman) revealed that it was lame off fore and as such will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again.

DESTINY CHILD (HK Cheng) refused to enter the track expeditiously properly. Trainer HY Cheng was advised that DESTINY CHILD will be required to pass 1 Starting Stall (to be ridden unaided to the start) test before being entered to race again.

SO THE THING (App A Suriya) collapsed at about the 100M resulting in App A Suriya jumping from the mare. A post-race veterinary examination of SO THE THING revealed that the mare bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3) and thereafter will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

REALITY (R Rueven) raced wide in the middle stages.

Near the 800M, D’GREAT RICH (KC Wong) laid inwards, crowding SAN ANDREAS (J Shankar) which bumped with D’GREAT RISE (CK Khaw). ELITE SAINT (App AR Raiyan) which was racing on the inside, had to be restrained, losing ground. At the same time, SAHABA (MM Firdaus) had to be restrained off the heels of D’GREAT RISE. Jockey KC Wong (D’GREAT RICH) was advised that he must afford runners sufficient galloping room.

CHAR KWAY TEOW (C Goon) and MARTIN VJ (HS Gill) raced wide in the early and middle stages.

Jockey MM Firdaus eased SAHABA down in the straight, reporting that the gelding felt bad in its action. A post-race veterinary examination of SAHABA revealed no significant finding.

A post-race veterinary examination of WARRIOR KING (AK Lim) revealed no significant finding.

MARTIN VJ which returned with abnormal respiratory noises, will be required to undergo a veterinary examination at rest before being declared to race again.

RACE 9 (R764) CLASS 4 (B) – 1200M (SHORT COURSE), SUNDAY, 10 OCTOBER 2021, SELANGOR TURF CLUB OCTOBER MEETING 2021

Jockey S Zulfikri (AUSSIE EAGLE) subsequently exercised his Right of Appeal and applied for a Stay of Sentence. The Panel of Stewards considered the application for a stay which was granted. The appeal hearing against the penalty of the suspension of three (3) months and fine of RM20,000/- will be held at a date to be fixed.

RACE 8 (R795) SUPREME B – 1250M (SHORT COURSE), SUNDAY, 17 OCTOBER 2021, SELANGOR TURF CLUB OCTOBER MEETING 2021

The Stewards, on 21 October 2021 (Thursday), concluded an inquiry into Jockey S Zulfikri’s riding of SACRED TONIC in the above race. Further evidence was taken from Jockey S Zulfikri and Trainer S Siva, the rider and trainer of SACRED TONIC respectively.

After considering the evidence and also reviewing the performance of SACRED TONIC, the Stewards found Jockey S Zulfikri guilty of a charge under MRA Rule 44(10) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards. The particulars of the charge being that:

He restrained SACRED TONIC on jumping, whereby the gelding was unable to race in a prominent position;
When afforded a clear passage prior to straightening at the 450M, he failed to put any pressure on SACRED TONIC to improve at this stage; and
His whip use and the manner in which he had ridden SACRED TONIC in the straight was inconsistent with attempting to encourage SACRED TONIC to maximize its performance.

The Stewards took into consideration Jockey S Zulfikri’s riding record, mitigating factors and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of three (3) months and fined the sum of RM20,000/-. This penalty is to be served cumulatively with any other penalty. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

The Stay of Sentence against Jockey S Zulfikri’s suspension of three (3) months and fine of RM20,000/- related to AUSSIE EAGLE in Race 9 on 10 October 2021 (Sunday), was withdrawn and thus commenced from 21 October 2021 to 20 January 2022, both dates inclusive .

A report dated 21 October 2021 (V21/049) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 54 coded urine and 60 sets of coded blood samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on 10 October 2021, for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected except for sample coded “30645” which revealed the presence of “parecoxib & valdecozib”. After decoding the sample number, it was established that this sample was reported to have been taken from the horse “FLASH ONE”, finished second in Race 9 (R764) on Sunday, 10 October 2021 at the Selangor Turf Club October Meeting 2021.

Trainer KC Tiang was advised of the contents of this report and his attention drawn to MRA Rule 134(12) which prohibits this horse from racing until it is cleared by the Stewards, and MRA Rule 137(1)/MRA Regulation 46.1 & 46.2 relating to the referee sample. An Inquiry will be held at a date to be fixed.

At approximately the 250M, MAESTRO (AK Lim) rolled outwards, making contact with RULE THE WORLD.

Jockey S Saddam, the rider of PURPLE RAIN reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of PURPLE RAIN revealed no obvious abnormality.

Jockey CK Tan, the rider ALWAYS D’GREAT reported that his mount was coughing during the race. A post-race veterinary examination of ALWAYS D’GREAT revealed that the gelding returned with respiratory distress and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that PENDRAGON PRINCESS (R Rueven) returned with a cut to its left hind cannon.

TIME TO ROCK, EASY SOUTH EAST, STAGESHOW and ON THE RAZZ which were up 22kgs, 30kgs, 21kgs and 15kgs respectively in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

Approaching the 800M, ROSES FOR ME and FAST AND SUPER became crowded and had to check when TIME TO ROCK shifted. At a subsequent Inquiry, Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of TIME TO ROCK was found guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii).

In assessing the penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into consideration Jockey AM Aizat’s disciplinary record and mitigating factors. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) race days. Acting under the provisions of MRA Rule 48(5), the Panel of Stewards deferred Jockey AM Aizat’s suspension to commence on Monday, 1^st November 2021 and to expire on Sunday, 7^th November 2021, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his right of appeal (2.08pm).

ROSES FOR ME (HS Gill) and FAST AND SUPER (App S Hafis) bumped on several occasions in the straight.

Jockey CK Tan, the rider of CROWN STAR reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of CROWN STAR revealed no obvious abnormality.

A post-race veterinary examination of EASY SOUTH EAST (App P Haris) revealed that the gelding returned with heat stress and as such, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

STORM WARNING, AUTUMN BLITZ, TAN’S MAESTRO and AMAZING DRAGON which were up 22kgs, 22kgs, 20kgs and 16kgs respectively in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

Acting on veterinary advice that SPEEDY SWALLOW (KC Wong) and YOU ARE SPECIAL (S Muniandy) were fractious in their barrier and were injured, the Panel of Stewards ordered their withdrawal at 2.18pm. SPEEDY SWALLOW and YOU ARE SPECIAL will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

LAST CHANCE (App I Firdza) was fractious and jumped away awkwardly.

LIM’S LEADER ( M Yusri) was slow to begin.

Jockey R Rueven, the rider of TAN’S MAESTRO reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of TAN’S MAESTRO revealed no obvious abnormality.

Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of INVICTUS WARRIOR reported that his mount was making noises during the race. A post-race veterinary examination of INVICTUS WARRIOR revealed that the gelding had returned broken-winded and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

ALASAMO (App YY Oon) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to start.

MY FRIENDS (I Amirul) and DETERMINE TO WIN (WK Yan) were slow into stride.

SUNTZU (S Saddam) had to be steadied passing the 200M to avoid the heels of MASTRO GEPPETTO (M Yusri), which shifted inwards.

Post-race veterinary examinations of MY FRIENDS and DETERMINE TO WIN (WK Yan) revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Panel of Stewards questioned App YY Oon, the rider of ALASAMO in the presence of his acting master, Trainer S Deva Raj, as to why he had failed to carry out a direction from the Club Veterinary Surgeon. After considering all the evidence, the Panel of Stewards warned App YY Oon that in future, he must obey any directions given by a Club Official.

The Panel of Stewards questioned Jockey I Amirul, the rider of MY FRIENDS and Trainer P Lee, the trainer of MY FRIENDS as to its performance today. After considering all the evidence and reviewing the films, Jockey I Amirul was warned to ride all his mounts in a more positive and competitive manner in future. MY FRIENDS which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry, Jockey WK Yan, the rider of DETERMINE TO WIN was found guilty under MRA Rule 44(10) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Panel of Stewards, in that from shortly after the start until the 400M, he failed to ride with sufficient vigour to be more competitive.

In assessing the penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into consideration his mitigating factors. Jockey WK Yan was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) months with effect from Sunday, 25^th April 2021 and to expire on Thursday, 24^th June 2021, both dates inclusive. He was informed of his right of appeal (3.35pm).

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that ALASAMO returned lame near fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

The Panel of Stewards questioned Trainer PK Leong, the trainer of DON’T FORGET THIS into the gelding’s improved performance today. Trainer PK Leong stated that DON’T FORGET THIS is better-suited by the good going and its distance today. His explanations were noted and he was reminded of his obligations regarding ‘in-and-out’ running under MRA Rule 117(3).

FLYING BABY (App I Firdzriel) jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride and thereafter, his saddle slipped to the off-side during the running of the race.

The Panel of Stewards questioned App P Mogun, the rider of MULTIBLUE SHARK in the presence of the Clerk of Scales as to why he weighed in one (1) kg. over his declared weight he weighed out. An Inquiry was adjourned to a date to be fixed to allow his Employing Trainer, Trainer SJ Cook to attend.

Jockey S Salee, the rider of SUPER WINNER reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination SUPER WINNER revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Panel of Stewards on 22^nd April 2021 at 11.30am ordered the scratching of the following horses from Selangor Turf Club due to the detection of 2 confirmed COVID -19 positive cases at SLTC as follow: –

The Perak Turf Club committees have decided to cancel Race 10 DRAGON FORTUNE STAKES OPEN MAIDEN 1400M (SC) which was scheduled on Saturday (4^th Day), 24^th April 2021 in accordance with Clause 20 of the Perak Turf Club Official Programme.

PRE-RACE BLOOD TEST:

The report dated 24^thApril 2021 (V21/08) Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 84 coded blood samples were received from the above-mentioned race meeting for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. All samples were analyzed and passed the pre-race testing criteria.

RACE 1 (R312) CLASS 5(A) – 1200m (lc) SLIM HANDICAP

PEARL KING, a course scratching as it had sustained swollen near knee, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

Emergency acceptors TRIPLE ONE D’GREAT and GOLDEN ROOSTER were withdrawn due to a capacity field.

WISAKA which was up 18kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

After being loaded, WISAKA (R Rueven) which was fractious, became cast in the barrier and was taken out for veterinary examination. GOLDEN KINGDOM (J Low) cast its near fore plate behind the barriers and had to be re-shod.

LUCKY GIANT (AK Lim) and WISAKA were examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and were passed fit to start.

LUCKY GIANT was slow to begin.

The saddle on SUNTZU (AM Aizat) slipped back during the running of the race.

Racing to the 1000M, WISAKA (R Rueven) had to check when MIGHTY PHOENIX (App P Mogun) which was hanging in, steadied off the heels of LOUEY VELOCE (App WW Cheah) and shifted in. The Panel of Stewards noted that it is a racing incident and took no further action.

Prior to the ‘All Clear’ being given, an objection was lodged by Jockey R Rueven, the rider of WISAKA, placed 4^th against MIGHTY PHOENIX ridden by App P Mogun, placed 2^nd on grounds of alleged interference at the 1000M.

After considering all the evidence and reviewing the films, the Panel of Stewards were of the opinion that the alleged interference had not affected the results of the race. The objection was overruled and the results stood.

Emergency acceptors MY FRIENDS, KRUGER and LUCKY ENOUGH were withdrawn due to a capacity field.

PROVOCATEUR which was up 21kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

Acting on veterinary advice that COMECATCHME (App P Haris) was lame near fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1.46pm. The gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

The saddle on MAHARIB (Y Aify) slipped back whilst the saddle on MR ROCKWELL (App Azizi) slipped to its off side during the running of the race.

The Panel of Stewards inquired into the mix-up of saddles taken from the Scales involving horses COMECATCHME (App P Haris) and MR ROCKWELL (App A Azizi), resulting in both riders having to be re-weighed out. After hearing their explanations, the Panel of Stewards deemed that there was no malicious intent and no further action was taken.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that FLYING SHADOW (SU Lim) returned having cast its near hind plate.

CHERISH (HS Gill) was slow into stride.

INDOMITABLE SPEED (App P Haris) had to steady shortly after the start, to avoid the heels of TOP TURF.

Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of TOP TURF reported that his whip was accidentally struck off from his hand by Jockey L De Souza, the rider of GOLDEN STATES at about the 200M.

App I Firdzriel and Jockey HS Gill, the rider of PENNSYLVANIA and CHERISH, both reported that their mount were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of PENNSYLVANIA and CHERISH revealed no obvious abnormality.

A post-race veterinary examination of TILSWORTH MALI (M Ganeesh) revealed that the mare had returned with a cut to its right hip and as such, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

POLO MASTER (HS Gill) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to start.

Passing the 1600M, MAGICAL PARK (App S Hafis) shifted in and eased the pace, resulting in E SUPREME (J Chuah) having to be steadied to avoid the heels of MAGICAL PARK. As a consequence, GOLD COAST CAPTAIN (AK Lim) and POLO MASTER which were following, had to be steadied in this incident.

MAGICAL PARK brushed the running rails racing to the 1400M.

GRAND SHOW (R Rueven) had to steady passing the 900M to avoid the heels of JETSTAR EAGLE (CK Tan).

Jockey AK Lim, Jockey S Saddam & Jockey HS Gill, the riders of GOLD COAST CAPTAIN, GOLDEN EMPIRE and POLO MASTER respectively reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of GOLD COAST CAPTAIN, GOLDEN EMPIRE and POLO MASTER revealed no obvious abnormality.

Post-race veterinary examinations of AYAAN revealed that the gelding had returned lame off fore, CROWN STAR (J Low) and MR DAVID revealed no obvious abnormality. AYAAN will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

The report dated 15^th April 2021 (V21/021) from the Chief Analyst of USains Biomics Laboratory stated that 4 bottles of coded urine samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on 4^th April 2021 for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.

SUPREME JUSTICE, a course scratching as it had lacerated left top eye lid, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

GLORY AGE (R Rueven) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to start.

The Panel of Stewards opened an Inquiry into the riding of Jockey HK Cheng (CLOUD SHADOW) and trained by Trainer CC Ooi. After taking evidence from Trainer CC Ooi, the trainer of CLOUD SHADOW, Jockey HK Cheng and reviewing the video of the race, Jockey HK Cheng pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(10) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Panel of Stewards, in that from about the1400M to the 600M, he permitted CLOUD SHADOW to race unnecessarily wide when there was an opportunity to get a better position in the race.

In assessing the penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into consideration Jockey HK Cheng’s guilty plea, disciplinary record and mitigating factors. Jockey HK was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) months, with effect from Monday, 5^th April 2021 and to expire on Friday, 4^th June 2021, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his right of appeal (4.40pm).

A post-race veterinary examination of CLOUD SHADOW (HK Cheng) revealed no obvious abnormality.

SILENT BOSS (KC Wong) and I AM MIDAS (L De Souza) were examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and were passed fit to start.

BUTCH CASSIDY (J Daniel) jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin.

The saddle on ROCK ME EASY (S Muniandy) slipped back during the running of the race.

GOOD TASTE (M Yusri) which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

DUTY FIRST (J Chuah) and MASTER JIANGMEN (I Amirul) were both slow to begin.

The saddle on ZAC ACE (App WW Cheah) slipped back during the running of the race.

LISBOA STAR (L De Souza) had to be steadied approaching the finish to avoid the heel of PLACE YOUR BET (App CT Lee).

App CT Lee, the rider of PLACE YOUR BET reported that he had shoulder injury and as a result, was unable to ride the gelding out in the normal manner. This was confirmed by the Club Medical Officer that he has dislocated his shoulder and was sent to hospital for observation. App CT Lee was advised that he must present a medical clearance before riding trackwork or races.

Jockey Z Khairil, the rider of PERFECT COMMANDO was fined RM500/- under MRA Rule 41(6)(c)(i) for using the whip forward of the shoulder.

Approaching the 100M, CRACKING TOTTIE was held up for clearing running between D’GREAT RICH on the inside and FLYING EBONY (App I Firdzriel) on the outside and shortly thereafter, CRACKING TOTTIE had to shift to the outside of FLYING EBONY for a clear run.

Jockey HS Gill and App I Firdzriel, the rider of RULE THE WORLD and FLYING EBONY respectively, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of RULE THE WORLD revealed no obvious abnormality and FLYING EBONY had returned lame near fore and having cast its near hind plate. FLYING EBONY will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

After being placed in the barrier, stalls numbers 2, 4 and 5 opened prematurely, resulting in BLACK AND WHITE (App YY Oon), ROYAL RULER (S Salee) and DESIRE SKY (App WW Cheah) coming out of their barriers and having to be restrained. These runners returned to the start, examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and were passed fit to race. The Starter carried out inspections of the barriers and found to be fully operational.

GENERAL REPORT-PRTC

PRE-RACE BLOOD TEST:

The report dated 3^rd April 2021 (V21/05) Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 106 coded blood samples were received from the above-mentioned race meeting for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. All samples were analyzed and passed the pre-race testing criteria.

INQUIRY INTO THE POST-RACE URINE SAMPLE CODED “28235” TAKEN FROM RACEHORSE “GRAND SHOW” IN RACE 1 (R892), CLASS 5(B) -1400M(lc) – ASTERS HANDICAP ON 2^ND DAY, 1^ST NOVEMBER 2020, PERAK OCTOBER/NOVEMBER MEETING 2020, WHICH RETURNED POSITIVE TO “PARECOXIB, VALDECOXIB”, A PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES UNDER THE MRA RULES AND REGULATIONS.

The Panel of Stewards concluded an Inquiry into the above matter today, Saturday, 3^rd April 2021 at the Perak Turf Club.

Evidence were taken from Trainer KC Tiang, the trainer of GRAND SHOW, Dr. Chan Sue Hay, Chief Analyst of Usains Biomics Laboratory and Dr. Reza Singam, Senior Veterinary Surgeon of PRTC.

Trainer KC Tiang pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 134(6)(a) as read with MRA Rule 134(13) and punishable under MRA Rule 134(7) in that he, as the trainer and person responsible for presenting and accepting to run GRAND SHOW, which finished third placing and its post-race urine sample coded “28235” subsequently upon analysis, had returned positive to “PARECOXIB, VALDECOXIB”, a prohibited substance under the MRA Rules.

When deciding on penalties, the Panel of Stewards took into account Trainer KC Tiang’s mitigating factors, the nature of the prohibited substance and his previous record. Trainer KC Tiang was fined a sum of RM10,000/= (Malaysian Ringgit Ten Thousand only). He was informed of his right of appeal (12.45pm)

In addition, in terms of MRA Rule 134(11), GRAND SHOW was disqualified from the above race and the results will be amended accordingly.

PRTC EQUINE HOSPITAL

ZAZU (V32) trained by Trainer Lawson Moy had undergone corrective surgery at the PRTC Equine Hospital between 22nd. February to 21st. March 2021 for tie-back and Hobday and as such, it will be required to pass a Steward’s Embargo Test before being declared to race again.

RACE 4 (R816) CLASS 4(B) – 1300M, SUNDAY, 11^TH OCTOBER 2020, 1^ST DAY, PENANG OCTOBER MEETING 2020

At the conclusion of an Inquiry today (21^st March 2021) into Jockey S Ruzaini’s ride on MAZANZE in the above race, further evidence was taken from Jockey S Ruzaini. After noting his explanation, the Stewards took no further action.

RACE 9 (R1079) CLASS 5(A) – 1300M, SUNDAY, 27^TH DECEMBER 2020, 2^ND DAY, PENANG DECEMBER MEETING 2020

The Stewards today (21^st March 2021) concluded an Inquiry into the saddling of BANGKOK BOY (App R Narendran) in the above race and took further evidence from Trainer HS Lim and Mr. T Jayabala a/l Tannimalai, the trainer and owner of BANGKOK BOY respectively.

After taking into consideration all the evidence, Owner T Jayabala a/l Tannimalai was charged under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for negligence in that he took the saddle of BANGKOK BOY when not authorized to do so. He pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the sum of RM500/-.

Trainer HS Lim was found guilty of a charge under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for negligence in that as the trainer of BANGKOK BOY, he failed to ensure that the saddle of BANGKOK BOY was secured from the Scales by his staff in the above race. He was fined the sum of RM2,000/- and was informed of his Right of Appeal (3.45 pm).

RACE 1 (R125) CLASS 5(A) – 1600m (lc) CHANGKAT JONG HANDICAP

EMIRATES WARRIOR, a course scratching as it had sustained respiratory allergy, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

SUPREME JUSTICE which was down 16kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

ALASAMO (Z Khairil) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.

At about the 800M, MAGICAL PARK (App S Hafis) which was over-racing, had to be steadied to avoid the heels of GRAND SHOW (AK Lim) and shifted out, resulting in SECOND CHANCE (App CT Lee) having to be steadied.

ALASAMO raced wide from the 700M until entering the straight.

RACE 2 (R126) CLASS 5(A) – 1600m (lc) DURIAN SEBATANG HANDICAP

GOLD COAST CAPTAIN, JETSTAR EAGLE and RACING MAN , all course scratching as they had sustained a bruised off fore fetlock, swollen near fore fetlock and bruised near fore fetlock respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

STAR CHOICE which was up 15kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

NAPOLEON (Z Khairil) jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride.

App S Hafis and Jockey J Daniel, the riders of YOU ARE SPECIAL and ASIAN JET respectively, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of YOU ARE SPECIAL revealed that the gelding had returned lame near fore and ASIAN JET revealed no obvious abnormality. YOU ARE SPECIAL will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

QUEEN FORCE and DANE’S ANATOMY, both course scratching as they had sustained a bruised off fore fetlock respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

NEVERUNCONDITIONAL (HS Gill) was fractious in the barrier and jumped away awkwardly.

POWER EXPRESS (App R Lingarajan) jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride.

KING WARRIOR (I Amirul) was slow to begin.

Jockey CK Tan, the rider of CLASSIC KING reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of CLASSIC KING revealed no obvious abnormality.

Emergency acceptor ROCK ME EASY was withdrawn due to a capacity field.

SOUTHERN WIND which was down 33kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

COMECATCHME (App R Lingarajan) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.

SOUTHERN WIND (CK Tan) and BUTCH CASSIDY (J Daniel) both jumped away awkwardly and were slow to begin.

BALL AND CHAIN (App CT Lee) and SWISS ROLL (M Yusri) bumped on jumping away.

At about the 1000M, PEARL KING (App P Mogun) had to be steadied to avoid the heels of EMPIRE BAY (AK Lim).

Jockey J Daniel, the rider of BUTCH CASSIDY reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of BUTCH CASSIDY revealed no obvious abnormality.

Post-race veterinary examinations of YOU ARE GENIUS (AM Aizat) and SWISS ROLL revealed that both these horses returned having bled and as such, will each be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will each be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

RACE 5 (R129) CLASS 5(A) -1200m(lc) SELAMA HANDICAP

CHERISH, a course scratching as it had sustained respiratory allergy, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again

LINCOLN COUNTY and MY FIRST MILLION which were down 24kgs and 23kgs respectively, in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

As there is no suitable apprentice available, the Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey J Daniel to replace App I Firdzriel as the rider of TRIPLE ONE D’GREAT as the latter was certified unwell.

TRIPLE ONE D’GREAT (J Daniel) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.

TRIPLE ONE D’GREAT shifted outwards on jumping away and COLORADO PRINCE (HK Cheng) shifted inwards, resulting in FIELD FORCE (R Rueven) having to steady and lose ground.

MY FIRST MILLION (App R Lingarajan) jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin.

GOLDEN ROOSTER (AK Lim) shifted out from the 100M, finishing wider on the track and over the concluding stages, took LINCOLN COUNTY (J Low) wider. Jockey AK Lim, the rider of GOLDEN ROOSTER was shown the vision of the incident and was advised to keep his mount straighter under similar circumstances in future.

Jockey J Daniel, the rider of TRIPLE ONE D’GREAT reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of TRIPLE ONE D’GREAT revealed no obvious abnormality.

A post-race veterinary examination of SILENT BOSS (KC Wong) revealed no obvious abnormality.

OCEAN LAW and COLOUR PAINT, both course scratching as they had sustained swollen off hind fetlock and skin allergy respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

CAUSE TO FLY which was down 15kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

LIM’S LEADER (HS Gill) stood when the gates were released and was very slow to begin. The gelding will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.

CAUSE TO FLY (R Rueven) jumped away awkwardly and thereafter, laid out over the concluding stages, taking AYAAN (J Chuah) wider on the track.

The Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey J Low to replace Jockey S Muniandy as the rider of SING EXPRESS, when the latter was stood down by the Club Medical Officer.

Emergency acceptor MASTER JIANGMEN was withdrawn due to capacity field.

ONE FORCE which was up 16kgs and LADRONE which was down 39kgs in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

The Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey I Amirul to replace Jockey S Muniandy as the rider LADRONE when the latter was stood down by the Club Medical Officer.

Trainer P Lee was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours on LADRONE (I Amirul).

FAST AND SUPER (CK Tan) jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride.

RULE THE WORLD (M Yusri) was slow to begin.

Jockey WK Yan, the rider of PENTAGON reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of PENTAGON which raced poorly, revealed no obvious abnormality. The gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
