RACE 1 (R728) CLASS 5(A) – 1600m (lc) SALTWATER CROCODILE HANDICAP
ROYAL FLUSH, a course scratching as it had sustained a cut on its left eye, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
LITTLE MASTER (HS Gill) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
App SN Shiva, the rider of SUPREME JUSTICE reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of SUPREME JUSTICE revealed no obvious abnormality.
Prior to the ‘All Clear’ being given, an objection was lodged by Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of CODIGOS placed 3rd against UNLIMITED STAR (How Yang), placed 2nd on grounds of alleged interference at the 200M-mark. After considering all the evidence and reviewing the videos, the Panel of Stewards were of the opinion that CODIGOS (AM Aizat) would have finished ahead of UNLIMITED STAR. As such, the objection was upheld and the results were amended accordingly.
At a subsequent inquiry, Jockey How Yang, the rider of UNLIMITED STAR pleaded guilty to a charge for careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that approaching the 200M-mark, he shifted in, resulting in CODIGOS (AM Aizat) becoming crowded and having to check, losing his rightful position.
In assessing the penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into account Jockey How Yang’s riding record. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) race days, effective from Monday, 19th June 2022 and to expire on Saturday, 9th July 2022, both dates inclusive and was informed of his right of appeal (2.10pm).

RACE 2 (R729) CLASS 5 (B) – 1600m (lc) FLYING LIZARD HANDICAP
Passing the 800M-mark, MAGICAL PARK (SU Lim) shifted inwards, resulting in BALBOA (R Rueven) becoming crowded, clipped its heels and stumbled. As a result of this, INTROIT (Y Aify) which was following, clipped the heels of BALBOA and stumbled badly. FIRST PASSTHEPOST (App S Sia) had to take evasive action in this incident. At a subsequent inquiry, Jockey SU Lim, the rider of MAGICAL PARK pleaded guilty to a charge for careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii). Jockey SU Lim was suspended from riding in races for two (2) race days, with effect from Monday, 20th June 2022 and to expire on Sunday, 26th June 2022, both dates inclusive. He was informed of his right of appeal (2.40pm).
ROBBEN (S Salee) which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
App R Nuqman, the rider of BIG POWER reported that his mount did not handle the going today.
A post-race veterinary examination of BALBOA revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 3 (R730) CLASS 5 (B) – 1600m (lc) SLOW LORIS HANDICAP
CAPE LINCOLN, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised off fore sole, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
TAIWAN CAPTAIN (HS Gill) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
CROWN DELIGHT (App WW Cheah) was slow into stride.
Jockey S Saddam, the rider of BLUE EYED BOY was fined RM1,000/- under MRA Rule 41(6)(c)(ii) for hitting his mount when his mount was out of contention.
Jockey AK Lim and App SN Shiva, the riders of TARZAN and SNOW DANCER respectively, both reported that their mounts could not handle the going today.
Jockey R Rueven, the rider of NAPOLEON reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of NAPOLEON revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 4 (R731) CLASS 4 (A) – 1400m (lc) SUNBEAR HANDICAP
DREAMS CAN BE REAL which was down 16kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
MULTIBLUE SHARK (S Salee) was tightened shortly after the start between DISCRETELY RED (S Saddam) on its inside and LIM’S PIPER (R Rueven) on its outside.
BILLION SENSE (App R Nuqman) stumbled on a number of occasions in the running and thereafter, was hanging in in the straight.
DREAMS CAN BE REAL (HS Gill) was hanging in badly in the straight.
Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of RISING GLORY reported that his mount did not handle the going today.

Heavy rain fell prior to the running of Race 5. The Racing Stewards taking into consideration the inclement weather and the water-logged track, decided to abandon the remainder of today’s races.
RACE 5 (R732) CLASS 4(B) – 1400m (c) MOUSE DEER HANDICAP
SHENG PROISIR and QADIRA MEDINA both are course scratching. SHEG PROISIR had sustained stone bruised off fore sole and QADIRA MEDINA had sustained a cut on its left eyelid. Each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
RACE 6 (R733) CLASS 5 (A) – 1200m (sc) KING COBRA HANDICAP
THE NEXT WAVE, MAGIC PLAYER and SO BEAUTIFUL are all course scratching. THE NEXT WAVE had sustained bruised near fore fetlock, MAGIC PLAYER had sustained stone bruised off fore foot and SO BEAUTIFUL had sustained a bruised back. Each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
RACE 7 (R734) CLASS 5(B) -1200m (sc) ATLAS MOTH HANDICAP
Emergency acceptors TILSWORTH MALI, D’GREAT EMPRESS and TOP TURF were withdrawn due to a capacity field.
RACE 8 (R735) CLASS 5 (A) – 1200m (sc) ASIAN ELEPHANT HANDICAP
GOLDEN ROOSTER, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised near hind fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Emergency acceptor CHERISH was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
TWILL GUY and SUPER SIXTYONE which were both up 17kgs in body weight since their last runs, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.
RACE 9 (R736) CLASS 4 (A) – 1200m (sc) MALAYAN TIGER HANDICAP
JOJU, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised both fore foot, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
RACE 10 (R737) CLASS 4 (B) – 1200m (sc) CLOUDED LEOPARD HANDICAP
GOLD SKY EXPRESS, a course scratching, had sustained a nail bind injury, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

PERAK JUNE MEETING 2022 – DAY 2, SUNDAY 12TH JUNE 2020
RACE 2 (R709) CLASS 4 (B)-1200M (lc) BALA SHARK HANDICAP
At the conclusion of an Inquiry today, Jockey S Rosmizan, the rider of GENERAL NIX pleaded guilty to a charge for contravention of MRA Rule 44(8) punishable under MRA Rule 44(8)(a).
The details of the charge are that:
- he failed to make any attempt to ride a forward race as instructed;
- he failed to ride with sufficient vigour and determination in the straight.
In assessing the penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into consideration Jockey S Rosmizan’s riding record and mitigating factors. Jockey S Rosmizan was disqualified from riding in races for a period of one (1) year effective from today, Saturday, 18th June 2022 and to expire on 17th June 2023, both dates inclusive. In addition, he was fined a sum of RM30,000/- and was informed of his right of appeal (12.30pm).
GENERAL REPORT – PNTC
Trainer Lim Hoon Seng was warned for infringing the PNTC’s Club’s traffic regulations by entering the multi-storey car park through an exit ramp on 16th June 2022. He was warned that a repetition may lead to a fine being impose.
JOCKEY URINE SAMPLES: 21ST MAY 2022, PENANG MAY MEETING 2022
INQUIRY INTO URINE SAMPLE “J6410” HELD AT PRTC ON SATURDAY, 18TH JUNE 2022.
Acting on a letter submitted by Chief Analyst to the Secretary MRA, Malaysia on 16th June 2022, pertaining to sample coded J-6410, the Stipendiary Stewards opened an inquiry/ investigation. The Chief Analyst Dr. Chan Sue Hay and Jockey KC Tham were both present. At the inquiry/investigation, it became evident as a result of the letter that sample coded J-6410 was in fact negative to Mitragynine and as such, Jockey KC Tham was informed that he had no charge to answer and that he could resume riding with immediate effect.
Urine sample coded J-6410 was initially reported for the detection of Mitragynine on 2nd June 2022. Upon further investigation by the Usains Biomics Laboratory, it was established that there was a flaw in the laboratory’s system, which has now been rectified. Sample coded J-6410 was re-analysed and report issued dated 16/6/2022 indicating that sample coded J-6410 was in fact negative for Mitragynine.
JOCKEY URINE SAMPLES: 21ST MAY 2022, PENANG MAY MEETING 2022
A report dated 16th June 2022 (V22/080.1) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 2 coded urine samples from the above mentioned meeting were received on 23rd May 2022 for analysis under MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.
