RACE 1 (R055)         CLASS 5(A) – 1600m (lc)     (43 & Below)  

D’GREAT SWIFT was a course scratching as it was found tied up.  INVICTUS WARRIOR and FIRST SUCCESS were course scratching when they had both sustained sore back.  Each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

MYSTICAL STAR (F Yap) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.

STAR CHOICE (AM Aizat) and MYSTICAL STAR were slow into stride.

SONNY BILL (M Yusri) was slow to begin.

SONNY BILL, STAR CHOICE and MYSTICAL STAR which raced poorly, will each be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

A post-race veterinary examination of LAST CHANCE (J De Souza) revealed no obvious abnormality.

MR DJ (M Yusri) which jumped awkwardly, brushed the inside of its gate, hesitated, losing many lengths and as such, will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.

Jockey S Saddam, the rider of GEORGETOWN reported that his mount was not striding out freely.  A post-race veterinary examination of GEORGETOWN revealed no obvious abnormality.

Jockey SU Lim, the rider of RAGNAR reported that his mount did not handle the going today.

Jockey F Yap, the rider of IAMBUTTER was shown the video of his ride and he was warned to ensure that he rides all his mounts to the finish in future.  A post-race veterinary examination of IAMBUTTER which raced poorly, revealed no obvious abnormality.  The gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

Jockeys SS Vanan (LINCOLN COUNTY), F Yap (BIG POWER) and R Rueven (KEEN DRAGON reported that their mounts were not striding out freely.   Subsequent post-race veterinary examinations of LINCOLN COUNTY, BIG POWER and KEEN DRAGON revealed no obvious abnormality.

Jockey S Salee, the rider of HANGRY was warned regarding his excessive whip use.

BIG POWER which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

SING ROULETTE (HS Gill) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.

GOLD COMPANY (SU Lim) was slow into stride.

Passing the 300M-mark, FAST AND SUPER (App S Hafis) which was laying out, shifted outwards, resulting in NORTHERN KNIGHT (HK Cheng) steadying inwards over its heels.  Shortly thereafter, PENNSYLVANIA (App I Firdzriel) rolled outwards, carrying NORTHERN KNIGHT outwards.  

In the concluding stages, FAST AND SUPER continued to roll outwards, carrying NORTHERN KNIGHT out.   Jockey HK Cheng, the rider of NORTHERN KNIGHT, placed 2nd   lodged an objection against the winner, FAST AND SUPER (App S Hafis),   on grounds of alleged interference in the straight.   After considering all the evidence and viewing the videos, the Panel of Stewards overruled the objection and the Judges’ results stood.

App S Hafis, the rider of FAST AND SUPER, in the presence of his acting Employing Trainer, Mr. Evert van Breukelen, was warned to make greater effort to keep his mount straight, on a straight course in future.

App I Firdzriel, the rider of PENNSYLVANIA was shown the video of his ride and was warned to make greater effort to keep his mount straight and also to ride all his mounts out fully to the finish.

Jockey AK Lim, the rider of ISLE OF SKY reported that his mount was not striding out freely.  A post-race veterinary examination of ISLE OF SKY revealed no obvious abnormality.

HEART OF COURAGE (CC Foo) which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

WILLIAM KING (App I Firdzriel) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.

LUKE MAN (AM Aizat) jumped awkwardly.

MAKE U FAMOUS (HK Cheng) which was hanging out, raced wide on the turn.

Jockey HS Gill, the rider of RED SYMPHONY reported that his mount was not striding out freely.  A post-race veterinary examination of RED SYMPHONY revealed that the gelding returned lame off fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

JUNIOR was a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near fore cannon and will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

WINDOW OF TIME which was down 16kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

The Panel of Stewards ordered the withdrawal of DARK WIZARD (AK Lim) at 4.15pm acting on veterinary advice that the gelding was found to be lame in its near hind. As such, DARK WIZARD will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

AGNI (SU Lim) jumped outwards, carrying NATUREISSPEAKING (HK Cheng) and BACH’S AIR (S Saddam) out.

WINTERFELL (L De Souza) jumped awkwardly.

Trainer S Shanmugam was questioned with regards to the improved performance of BALL AND CHAIN today.  He stated that he has changed his training method and kept this horse fresh.  His explanations were noted and his attention was drawn to MRA Rule 113(7) regarding ‘in-and-out’ running.

ACE’S WILD was a course scratching when it had sustained a bruised near hock.  STORMY VIEW was a course scratching when it had sustained bruised both fore fetlocks.  MAGNUM FORCE was a course scratching when it had injured its off fore in the float.  Each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

MASTER JIANGMEN (App S Hafis) was slow into stride.

Jockey AK Lim, the rider of RACE FOR FAME reported that his mount was not striding out freely.  A post-race veterinary examination of RACE FOR FAME revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey HK Cheng to replace Jockey J Daniel, as the rider of PURPLE RAIN when the latter was stood down by the Club Medical Officer.

FLAGSHIP (AK Lim) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.

IPOH DASH (App S Hafis) was slow into stride.

EASY SOUTH EAST (S Saddam) jumped awkwardly outwards, carrying ELUSIVE EMPEROR (S Salee) outwards.   In this incident, ELUSIVE EMPEROR stumbled.

The saddle on PURPLE RAIN (HK Cheng) slipped back during the running.

Jockey S Saddam (EASY SOUTH EAST) and App I Firdzriel (SHADOW SPEED) reported that their mounts were not striding out freely.  Post-race veterinary examinations of EASY SOUTH EAST revealed that the gelding returned with heat stress and SHADOW SPEED revealed no obvious abnormality.   EASY SOUTH EAST will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

Jockey AK Lim, the rider of FLAGSHIP was dislodged on pulling-up.   He was subsequently examined by the Club Medical Officer and was certified fit.

GENERAL REPORT – PRTC 

Amendment:

RACE 6 (R051)          CLASS 5(B) – 1100m (sc)   

KING FORCE was a course scratching when it was found to have a capped elbow and will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

The Panel of Stewards ordered the withdrawal of LOYALTY’S ANGEL at 1.32pm acting on veterinary advice that the mare was found to have sustained a cut on its mouth and as such, the mare will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

SO BEAUTIFUL (SS Vanan) stumbled badly on jumping.

At approximately the 600M-mark, LADY BOSS broke down, dislodging Jockey J Low. In this incident, TILSWORTH MALI (CK Tan) and SO BEAUTIFUL took evasive actions.   Jockey J Low, the rider of LADY BOSS who was injured, was exempted from weighing-in and was taken to hospital for observations.  He would be questioned regarding this incident at a later date.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that LADY BOSS had fractured its near fore cannon and was humanely euthanized.
