RACE 1 (R761) CLASS 5 (A) – 1600M (lc) NEED YOU BADLY HANDICAP
JEFFREY (Z Khairil) jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin.
BLUE EYED BOY (App P Mogun) was slow to begin.
The surcingle of BLUE EYED BOY broke during the running of the race, resulting in his saddle slipping to the off side, placing its rider at a disadvantage.
Jockey Z Khairil, the rider of JEFFREY was fined a sum of RM500/- under MRA Rule 41(6)(c)(i) and punishable under MRA Rule 41(9) for hitting his mount forward of its shoulder.
The Panel of Stewards questioned Trainer SY Lim, the trainer of SUNNY into the gelding’s improved performance today. He stated that SUNNY was better-suited in this race track condition. His explanation was noted.

RACE 2 (R762) CLASS 5(B) – 1400M(lc) LOONSHIANG HANDICAP
SING DARCI (HS Gill) was slow into stride.
SIX EMPIRE (M Ganeesh) jumped away awkwardly.
SING DARCI had to be steadied shortly after the start when ANAK WARRIOR (App CK Khaw) jumped away awkwardly inwards.
Jockey S Salee, the rider of SWIFT reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of SWIFT revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that ANAK WARRIOR returned having cast its off fore plate.

RACE 3 (R763) CLASS 5 (A) – 1400M (lc) KING’S KNIGHT HANDICAP
The Panel of Stewards ordered the withdrawal of TAIL SPIN at 2.00pm acting on veterinary advice that the gelding was lame off fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
DON’T FORGET THIS (M Yusri) which was difficult to be boxed, delaying the start, will be required to pass one starting stall test before being declared to race again.
ROCK ME EASY (HS Gill) which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of DON’T FORGET THIS revealed that the gelding had returned with a cut to its mouth and as such, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

RACE 4 (R764) CLASS 5 (A) – 1400M (lc) SPRUCE HANDICAP
QUASAR and AMAZING DRAGON, both course scratching as they had sustained a sole bruised off fore and fever respectively, each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Trainer S Cook was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to present SILENT BOSS (KC Wong) with winkers as declared. A replacement winkers was subsequently replaced behind the barriers.
Jockey Z Khairil, the rider of DROUGHT reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of DROUGHT revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 5 (R765) CLASS 4 (A) – 1400M (lc) ESKDALE CHIEF HANDICAP
The Panel of Stewards ordered the withdrawal of GENERAL MARSHALL (HS Gill) at 3.16pm, acting on veterinary advice that the gelding was lame near fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
DISCRETELY RED (App S Saddam) laid out approaching the 400M and brushed HENG KINGDOM (J Low).
DISCRETELY RED continued to lay out and approaching the 200M, App S Saddam, the rider of DISCRETELY RED accidentally struck the whip off from Jockey J Low, the rider of HENG KINGDOM and continued to lay out, taking HENG KINGDOM wider on the track.
Prior to the ‘All Clear’ being given, an objection was lodged by Jockey J Low, the rider of HENG KINGDOM placed 2nd against DISCRETELY RED (App S Saddam), the winner on ground of alleged interference at the 400M. After considering all the evidence, the Panel of Stewards were of the opinion that the alleged interference had not affected the results of the race. The objection was overruled and the results stood.
A post-race veterinary examination of FLYING DARCI (C Goon) revealed that the gelding had returned lame off fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 7 (R767) CLASS 4 (A) – 1200M (sc) LIGHTNING FLASH HANDICAP
LADY LAKSHIMI, a course scratching as it had sustained a sole bruised off fore, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
XENA which was down 20kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
XENA (App I Firdzriel) stood, jumped away awkwardly and trying to buck, losing considerable ground. XENA continued to race ungenerously throughout and trailed the field. XENA will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
JULIUS CAESAR (App S Saddam) and showed no early pace, despite being urged.
A post-race veterinary examination of XENA revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 8 (R768) CLASS 5 (A) – 1000M (sc) FRASER’S HILL HANDICAP
BUTCH CASSIDY, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near fore cannon, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
SOLID BRISK (C Goon) jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride.
TRIPLE ONE D’GREAT (SS Vanan) jumped away awkwardly and shifted in abruptly, resulting in SING ROULETTE (KC Wong) and MIRACLE WEI WEI (App P Mogun) being checked.
SOLID BRISK raced ungenerously in the middle stages and as a consequence, D’GREAT LUCK (App L De Souza) had to be steadied to avoid the heels of SOLID BRISK.
A post-race veterinary examination of SOLID BRISK which raced poorly, revealed no obvious abnormality. SOLID BRISK will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

MIGHTY PHOENIX which was up 15kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
MIGHTY PHOENIX (C Goon) was slow to begin.
D’GREAT SONG (KC Wong) jumped away awkwardly.
POWERFUL STAR (HS Gill) had to be steadied racing the 500M to avoid the heels of KING FORCE (SU Lim) which was carried inwards by WINNING TANGO (M Ganeesh) which rolled in.
A post-race veterinary examination of BOUNCEBACK ABILITY (F Yap) which raced poorly, revealed no obvious abnormality. BOUNCEBACK ABILITY will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

The Panel of Stewards ordered the withdrawal of twenty five (25) horses from Penang Turf Club based on the advice given by the Penang Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) as follows: –

PRE-RACE BLOOD TEST:

The report dated 27th September 2020 (V20/12) Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 90 coded blood samples were received from the above-mentioned race meeting for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. All samples were analyzed and passed the pre-race testing criteria.
