RACE 1 (R1345) CLASS 5(A) – 1200m (lc) SEASON’S GREETINGS HANDICAP
PONTIANAK, a course scratching as it had sustained sore back, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Emergency Acceptor SPEEDY SWALLOW was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
STARHARMONY (App SN Shiva) and BEIHAI TURBO (App P Haris) were slow into stride.
At approximately the 900M-mark, JULIUS CAESAR (AM Aizat) and LUCKY THIRTYNINE (S Saddam) steadied in a tightly-bunched field.
At approximately the 500M-mark, STORM TO WIN (AK Lim) was inconvenienced, steadied off the heels of JULIUS CAESAR, which had shifted outwards.
BEIHAI TURBO was obliged to race wide on the turn, entering the home straight wide.
Jockey S Ruzaini, the rider of PLACE YOUR BET reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of PLACE YOUR BET revealed that the gelding had returned lame near fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of JULIUS CAESAR and STORM TO WIN revealed no obvious abnormality. STORM TO WIN was impounded.

RACE 2 (R1346) CLASS 5 (A) – 1200m (lc) CONCLUDING CHAPTER HANDICAP
CHAR KWAY TEOW, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near fore cannon, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
MARTIN VJ (J Daniel) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
KIPEH (AM Aizat) and AUSSIE EAGLE (App S Shazmin) jumped awkwardly.
Approximately the 450M-mark, ROCK ME EASY (SU Lim) was crowded and inconvenienced when AUTUMN BLITZ (AK Lim) rolled inwards.
D’GREAT STRIKE (App SN Shiva) was hanging in, in the straight.
MARTIN VJ (J Daniel) which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Jockey J Daniel, the rider of MARTIN VJ reported that his mount was not striding out freely. The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that MARTIN VJ was making respiratory noises and was unable to be scoped. A post-race veterinary report of MARTIN VJ will follow.
A post-race veterinary examination of ROCK ME EASY revealed no obvious abnormality.
As Trainer R Lines was not on course today, he will be questioned regarding the improved performance of STAY THE COURSE (S Ruzaini) at a date to be fixed.
The Panel of Stewards questioned Trainer K Coetzee, the trainer of KRATOS and App P Haris, the rider of KRATOS over the concluding stages. Having noted both their explanations, the Stewards were of the opinion that App P Haris should have made a greater attempt to prevent KRATOS from shifting out and he was reminded to ride all his mounts out in a manner so as to leave no room for query.

RACE 3 (R1347) CLASS 5 (B) – 1200m (lc) FINISHING TOUCHES HANDICAP
ISLE OF SKY and I’M THE MAN, both are course scratching. ISLE OF SKY had sustained a bruised off fore foot whilst I’M THE MAN had sustained sore back. Each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
BITCOIN KING which was up 16kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
Emergency Acceptor SIEW YUK was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
DIAMOND SET (SU Lim) reared on jumping.
COUNTRY LAW (S Ruzaini) was slow into stride.
Jockeys KP Lim and HK Cheng, the riders of MADE IN CHINA and PROVOCATEUR respectively, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of MADE IN CHINA and PROVOCATEUR revealed no obvious abnormality.
A post-race veterinary examination of FLYING SPIDER (App AB Riduan) revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that ATLANTIC ARROW (App R Ruwaidy) had bled and as such, the gelding will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.
The Panel of Stewards questioned Jockey HK Cheng, the rider of PROVOCATEUR with regards to his ride over the concluding stages. The Stewards were of the opinion that Jockey HK Cheng should have made a greater attempt to ride his mount on a straight course. However, he was reminded to ride all his mounts out in a manner so as to leave no room for query.

RACE 4 (R1348) CLASS 4 (A) – 1200m (lc) GRAND FINALE HANDICAP
BALL AND CHAIN, STAR GLORY and STRAP MARKS all are course scratching. BALL AND CHAIN had sustained sole bruised near fore. STAR GLORY had sustained bruised both fore fetlock while STRAP MARKS had sustained a bruised off fore suspensory. Each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
KANTHAKA (App AB Riduan) laid out on jumping.
FAST AND SUPER (App R Nuqman) was slow into stride.
Approaching the 800M-mark, App P Haris, the rider of UNDER OATH lost the use of his near side iron and shortly thereafter, was inconvenienced when YOUARETHEBEST (KC Tham) rolled inwards.
DISCRETELY RED (J Daniel) was obliged to race wide rounding the turn.
GENERAL NIX (App R Ruwaidy) which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Jockey KC Tham, the rider of YOUARETHEBEST reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of YOUARETHEBEST revealed that the gelding had returned broken-winded and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of FIRE AWAY (S Ruzaini) revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that AMORE AMORE (AM Aizat) returned having cast its near fore plate.

RACE 5 (R1349) OPEN MAIDEN -1300M(lc) SEASON ENDER STAKES
JAMES BOND (App AB Riduan) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
App R Nuqman, the rider of SUPREME SUCCESS reported that his mount showed no early pace, despite being urged.
Jockey S Ruzaini, the rider of RAISE YOUR GLASS was dislodged at the pull-up area.
App AB Riduan, the rider of JAMES BOND reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of JAMES BOND revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that JERAM GOLD (J De Souza) returned broken-winded and as such, the gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 6 (R1350) CLASS 4(A) –1600m (lc) RACE-TO-THE-FINISH HANDICAP
Prior to the ‘All Clear’ being given, an objection was lodged by Jockey S Saddam, the rider of 2nd placed horse MICHIKAWA against SUSPICIOUS MIND (App R Nuqman), being declared the winner on grounds of alleged interference in the straight. After considering all the evidence and reviewing the video, the Panel of Stewards were of the opinion that the alleged interference had not affected the result of the race. The objection was overruled and the result stands.
Jockey J De Souza, the rider of HEARTS OF GOLD was questioned with regards to his ride in the early part of the race. He stated that after getting a good jump, he was crowded and thereafter, was unable to improve his position and further stated that his mount was not striding out. A subsequent post-race veterinary examination of HEARTS OF GOLD revealed no apparent abnormality. His explanations were noted.

RACE 7 (R1351) ENRICH STAKES A (SW) – 1400m (sc) END-OF-FIXTURE STAKES
As there is no suitable apprentice available, the Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey HS Gill to replace App AB Riduan as the rider of PROOF PERFECT when the latter was stood down by the Club Medical Officer.
CHINA CAPTAIN (S Ruzaini) was slow into stride.
Passing the 1000M-mark, TEOCHEW KID (J De Souza) dipped.
A post-race veterinary examination of SKYLIGHT (AM Aizat) revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that PROOF PERFECT (HS Gill) had bled and as such, the gelding will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.
Trainer K Coetzee was questioned with regards to the improved performance of CHINA CAPTAIN today. He stated that this horse enjoyed the 1400M and coupled with a weaker field today, these accounted for its improved performance.

RACE 8 (R1352) CLASS 5 (A) – 1400m (sc) LAST CHANCE HANDICAP
MAESTRO, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
As there is no suitable apprentice available, the Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey SU Lim to replace App AB Riduan as the rider of STAR INVINCIBLE.
Acting on veterinary advice that FIRST COMMAND (HS Gill) and SACRED GALAXY (S Saddam) was lame near fore and lame off fore respectively, the Panel of Stewards ordered both their withdrawals at 4.57pm. Both these geldings will each be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Jockey SU Lim and App R Nuqman, the rider of STAR INVINCIBLE and SUPREME JUSTICE respectively, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post- race veterinary examinations of STAR INVINCIBLE revealed that the gelding had returned lame off fore and SUPREME JUSTICE revealed no obvious abnormality. STAR INVINCIBLE will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of GOLDEN LIGHTNING (AK Lim) revealed no obvious abnormality.

APOLLO ROCK, a course scratching as it had right corneal ulcer, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
JEFFREY which was down 21kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
Acting on veterinary advice that LUCK HAPPY (J Daniel) was lame off fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 5.31pm and the gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
CIRCUIT STAR (HS Gill) and BLACK TAIPAN (S Ruzaini) were examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and were passed fit to start.
THE JEWELLER (App SN Shiva) was slow into stride.
THE JEWELLER raced wide rounding the bend and entering the home straight wide.

RACE 10 (R1354) CLASS 5(B) – 1400m (sc) FINISHING LINE HANDICAP
BULL RUN, a course scratching as it had sustained sole bruised off hind, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Emergency acceptor SING DARCI was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
Rounding the turn at approximately the 1200M-mark, Jockey HS Gill, the rider of SIR ELTON reported that he received slight pressure from CHAR SIEW (SU Lim) on his outside and had to steady momentarily.
Post-race veterinary examinations of BLUE EYED BOY (S Saddam), ADIRA PEGASUS (AK Lim) and AMAZING CHOICE (J Daniel) revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that NAMBIAR ROCKET (KC Tham) returned having cast its off fore plate.
At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of VAIN TYCOON pleaded guilty to a charge for a contravention of MRA Rule 44(6) for failing to ride his mount to the end of the race.
In assessing the penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into consideration Jockey AM Aizat’s guilty plea, disciplinary record and mitigating factors. He was fined the sum of RM3,000/- (Malaysian Ringgit: Three Thousand only) and was advised of his right of appeal (6.50pm).
