Post-race veterinary examinations of MESSI, BALBOA and GOLDEN EMPIRE (App S Saddam) revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Panel of Stewards questioned Jockey M Hanif, the rider of MARIO ATTILA as to why after obtaining a clear run at the 200M, he shifted to the outside instead.  Jockey M Hanif explained that he had clear running to the inside of JACKWIN (R Rueven) and as MARIO ATTILA was not responding to his riding, he elected to shift out to the outside when his mount was not responding.  He further stated that after doing so, MARIO ATTILA failed to respond.  His explanations were noted.
