NOTICE
Prior to the running of Race 1, the Panel of Stewards called all the Jockeys and Apprentice Jockeys present to ride today and reminded them that they are required to ride their mounts competitively and in a manner which leaves no room for query.
RACE 1 (R892) CLASS 5(B) – 1400m(lc) ASTERS HANDICAP
GOLD COAST CAPTAIN, MAYWEATHER AND RACING MAN, all course scratching as they had sustained bruised off fore cannon, bruised near fore fetlock and bruised off hind cannon respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

RACE 2 (R893) CLASS 5(A) – 1400m(lc) BEAUTYBERRY HANDICAP
GOLDEN ROOSTER, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near hind fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
DOUBLE RAINBOW (KC Wong) and MYSTICAL STAR (SS Vanan) were slow to begin.
NAPOLEON (R Rueven) had to steady passing the 900M to avoid the heels of MY FIRST MILLION (J Chuah).
KEEN DRAGON (AM Aizat) had to be steadied to avoid the heels of ROCK ME EASY (HS Gill) at the 150M.
App S Saddam, the rider of BALL AND CHAIN reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of BALL AND CHAIN revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 3 (R894) CLASS 5(A) – 1400m(lc) HEUCHERA HANDICAP
DON’T FORGET THIS (M Yusri) was slow to begin.
SUPREME JUSTICE (F Yap) jumped away awkwardly.
The saddle on KRUGER (J Daniel) slipped forward during the running.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that PHAN NEE STAR (App S Hafis) returned having cast its near fore plate.
At the conclusion of an Inquiry, Jockey F Yap, the rider of SUPREME JUSTICE pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(10) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards.
The particulars of the charge were that:

After the jump, he failed to ride with sufficient vigour and determination to be in a mid-field position as instructed;
-
He failed to ride with sufficient vigour and determination to improve his position from the 900M to the 350M, when there was an opportunity to do so.
When deciding on a penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into account Jockey F Yap’s, guilty plea, riding record and mitigating factors. Jockey F Yap was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) months, effective tomorrow, Monday, 2nd November 2020 and to expire on 1st January 2021, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his right of appeal (3.25pm).
Trainer Evert van Breukelen’s explanations were noted.

RACE 4 (R895) CLASS 4(A) -1400m(lc) MARIGOLDS HANDICAP
INDIAN JEWEL, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised off fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
EMIRATES WARRIOR which was up 16kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
MAESTRO (App S Hafis) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to start.
MAESTRO stood when the gates were released and was slow to begin.
DISCRETELY RED (AM Aizat) and MR DJ (KC Wong) bumped at about the 300M.
Jockey R Rueven, the rider of ELUSIVE GENIUS reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of ELUSIVE GENIUS revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 6 (R897) CLASS 5 (A) – 1800m (sc) SWEET ALYSSUM HANDICAP
ARTEMISTER, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised off hind fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
The Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey Z Khairil to replace Jockey Y Aify on AGUERO when the latter was medically stood down.
MY AIM (S Anandan) had to be steadied at the 1600M and lost ground when GOLDEN EMPIRE (App S Saddam) rolled in.
Passing the 1500M, SHREDDER (R Rueven) had to check when BALBOA (HS Gill) rolled in.
A post-race veterinary examination of MONACO ACE (S Salee) which raced poorly, revealed no obvious abnormality. MONACO ACE will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that BALBOA had bled and as such, the gelding will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

BLACK AND WHITE (AM Aizat) was slow into stride.

RACE 9 (R900) CLASS 4 (B) – 1200m (sc) SNAPDRAGON HANDICAP
JULIUS CAESAR, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near knee, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
SANGKURIANG and RED SYMPHONY which were down 15kgs and 17kgs respectively in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.
Acting on veterinary advice that SHOSHA KAZANAN was lame near fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 4.05pm. The gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
PERFECT COMMANDO (Z Khairil) rolled in racing to the 800M and as a result, SANGKURIANG (CK Tan) had to be eased.
The saddle on MR WOLFF (AM Aizat) slipped back during the running.
A post-race veterinary examination of that LUCKY ENOUGH (HS Gill) revealed that the gelding had bled and as such, will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

LIM’S PIPER and DIAMOND SET, both course scratching as they had sustained a bruised near fore sole and sore off fore foot respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
WORLD HARMONY (App S Saddam) jumped away awkwardly and shifted out, resulting in SUPER COME (App S Hafis) losing its position.
PLACE YOUR BET (AM Aizat) had to be steadied passing the 800M when CRACKING TOTTIE (HK Cheng) rolled out.
At about the 150M, SILVER WIND (CK Tan) had to be steadied and shift inward for a run to avoid the heels of ALWAYS D’GREAT (HS Gill).
A post-race veterinary examination of ALWAYS D’GREAT revealed no obvious abnormality.

POWERFUL STAR, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised near hock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
DICAPRIO (M Yusri) raced wide from the 800M until entering the straight.
NEVERUNCONDITIONAL (App SN Shiva) had to be steadied inwards to avoid the heels of MARTELLO (SS Vanan) for a clear running at the 400M.
App S Hafis, the rider of COLORADO PRINCE reported that his mount was making respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination of COLORADO PRINCE revealed no obvious abnormality.

COMECATCHME, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised near fore cannon, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
MON ENERGY which was down 22kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
CLARTON FORTUNE (J Daniel) which reared up as the gates were released and lost considerable ground, will be required to pass one starting stall test before being declared to race again.
At about the 800M, RANT AND RAVE (App CT Lee) had to be steadied to avoid the heels of KUBERA’S CHIEF (S Muniandy) when shifting out.
A post-race veterinary examination of MON ENERGY (SU Lim) revealed no obvious abnormality.

PRE-RACE BLOOD TEST:
2nd DAY, SUNDAY, 1st NOVEMBER 2020 – PERAK OCTOBER/NOVEMBER MEETING 2020
The report dated 1st November 2020 (V20/14) Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 106 coded blood samples were received from the above-mentioned race meeting for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. All samples were analyzed and passed the pre-race testing criteria.
GENERAL REPORT – PNTC
POST-RACE URINE:
PENANG OCTOBER MEETING 2020
The report dated 29th October 2020 (V20/079) from the Chief Analyst of USains Biomics Laboratory stated that 19 bottles of coded urine samples and 23 sets of coded blood samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on 19th October 2020 for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.
