Post-race veterinary examinations of ROBBEN (S Salee), HENNESSY DRAGON (Z Khairil), SUPREME STAR, SUPER DRAGON and SUN MIRACLE revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Panel of Stewards questioned Jockey HK Cheng, the rider of BM POWER into the reasons he failed to improve from the 500M until the 300M.  He stated that his instructions were to be forward and that he got a good jump.   On straightening, he wanted to keep the mare balanced, but when he went for the whip at the 300M, the mare  responded fairly and as he reported he had dropped his off side rein at the 100M.   The Panel of Stewards noted his explanations and advised him that they were concerned why he failed to show sufficient vigour from the 500M to the 300M, in particular he should have been more vigorous to keep in contact with STIRLING (R Woodworth), the eventual winner and BRAHMS AND LISZT (J De Souza), the 2nd place-getter.  Jockey HK Cheng was warned that he should ride all his mounts out in a manner so as to leave no room for query.
