In the ever-evolving landscape of Australian horse racing, Will Price has steadily carved out a reputation as a talented and tenacious jockey with a sharp racing intellect and a calm, tactical approach.

The son of of top jockey Simon Price and nephew of respected trainer Dan O’Sullivan, Will was immersed in the racing world from a young age. His early exposure to the sport laid a strong foundation, and he quickly transitioned from apprentice to professional, earning accolades along the way—including the title of Champion Melbourne Apprentice in the 2020–21 season.

Since beginning his career, Price has amassed over 240 career wins from nearly 3,000 rides, with a strike rate hovering around 8% and a place rate of 27%. His versatility is evident across a range of distances and track conditions, and he’s particularly effective on turf, where the bulk of his success has come.

Notably, Price is known for his strong work ethic and ability to form productive partnerships with a wide range of trainers. His most frequent collaborations have been with his uncle, Dan O’Sullivan, but he has also delivered results for numerous other stables across Victoria and beyond.

As he continues to mature in the saddle, Will Price remains a jockey to watch—combining pedigree, professionalism, and a hunger for success.
