RACE 1 (R1014) CLASS 5(A) – 1100M (Race Video)
At the conclusion of an Inquiry, Jockey S Ruzaini, the rider of COME ON JIMMY, pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(10) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards. The particulars of the charge were that whilst riding COME ON JIMMY, he failed to ride with sufficient vigour and determination and thereby failed to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his guilty plea and the facts of this case, Jockey S Ruzaini’s points of mitigation and his riding record. Jockey S Ruzaini was suspended from riding in races for a period of three (3) months with effect from Monday, 20th December 2021 and to expire on Saturday, 19th March 2022, both days inclusive. In addition, Jockey S Ruzaini was fined a sum of RM10,000/- (Ringgit Malaysia Ten Thousand). He was advised of his Right of Appeal (5.45pm).
