STIPENDIARY STEWARDS’ REPORT

PENANG  SEPTEMBER MEETING 2022  

1^ST DAY, SATURDAY, 17^TH SEPTEMBER 2022

RACE 6 (R1102) CLASS 5(A) – 1200M 

 At the conclusion of an Inquiry, Jockey How Yang, the rider of QIJI LOVE, pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(10) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards. The particulars of the charge were that he failed to ride QIJI LOVE with sufficient vigiour and determination in the straight.

When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account the facts of this case, Jockey How Yang’s points of mitigation and his record.  Jockey How Yang was suspended from riding in races for a period of four (4) months with effect from Sunday, 18^th September 2022 and to expire on Tuesday, 17^th January 2023, both days inclusive.  In addition, Jockey How Yang was fined a sum of RM10,000/- (Malaysian Ringgit Ten Thousand).  He was advised of his Right of Appeal (6.15pm).
