At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey B Pinheiro, the rider of PACIFIC FIGHTER, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding PACIFIC FIGHTER, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to BANKER’S BLESSING at the 1500M.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey B Pinheiro’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) race day, to be served on 6 June 2026. In lieu of one (1) race day, he was also fined RM1,500/-. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

The report dated 21 May 2026 (FAS-EDT-2026/V014) from the Chief Analyst of FORTRIS Analytical Services stated that 33 bottles of coded equine urine and 33 sets of coded blood sample from the above-mentioned race meeting were received on 17 May 2026, for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.
