An objection was lodged by Jockey J Low (D’GREAT LIGHT), placed fourth, against CHINA CAPTAIN (R Rueven), placed third, alleging interference at about the 150M. The Panel of Stewards upheld the objection and amended the placing to:

An objection was lodged by Jockey SU Lim (ARC TRIUMPH), placed second, against BLACK THORN (App M Ekdihar) being declared the winner, alleging interference at about the 150M. The Panel of Stewards overruled the objection.

On inquiry, the Stewards ascertained that HAZARD was racing in close proximity to CHINO DINERO’s heels when that gelding shifted ground. The Stewards believed on the evidence that they could not substantiate a charge, however, reprimanded Jockey J Daniel for shifting in at this stage.

Jockey J Daniel was questioned as to the reason that he did not lead. He advised that the gelding did not have its customary early pace as he believed it would lead easily. It was inclined to lift its head and he had pushed it vigourously, he could only attribute the lack of early pace to the removal of the Blinkers. Trainer S Dunderdale will be questioned related to this issue.
