RACE 1 (R1488) CLASS 5 (A) – 1400M (LONG COURSE A)

VICTORY CAT (SU Lim) which proved difficult to load, will be required to pass 1 Starting Stall test before being declared to race again.

After being crowded at the start, ORION (App L De Souza) was obliged to race wide.

ELITE CONQUEROR (C Goon) dwelt as the start was effected. When questioned as to the reason he had pushed ELITE CONQUEROR vigourously after the start and led early in the race, Jockey C Goon advised that after missing the start by a considerable margin, he had been able to secure the lead before the first turn but ELITE CONQUEROR had commenced to race fiercely and he led by a greater margin than anticipated.

In the early stages, ONE O NINE (S Anandan) raced fiercely and had to be restrained.

POWER TOTO 6/58 STAKES

FORTYEIGHT QUEEN (SU Lim) which cast its near fore plate at the paddock area, was reshod, checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to race.

JEFFREY (Z Khairil) veered outwards at the start, crowding NATURAL WATER (App S Rosmizan) onto BULLISH LUCK (KC Wong), losing ground.

RAMZES (Y Aify) was slow into stride.

VERGLATICA (App A Suriya), from its wide barrier, began slow.

Near the 1000M, JEFFREY (Z Khairil) which was racing fiercely, steadied to avoid the heels of BLUE EYED BOY (R Shafiq). At the same time, LUCKY VICTORY (App J Daniel) bumped JEFFREY and then eased off the heels of BERLINETTA (App CK Khaw).

App A Suriya (VERGLATICA), App CK Khaw (BERLINETTA) and App J Daniel (LUCKY VICTORY) was fined RM250/- each for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for dropping their whips during the race.

RACE 3 (R1490) OPEN MAIDEN (WFA) – 1600M (LONG COURSE A)

POWER TOTO 6/55 STAKES

All riders were called in front of the Stewards and advised that the Stewards were concerned at the number of incidents of dropped whips, further it was the Stewards’ intention to increase the penalty significantly relating to negligence and infringement under similar circumstances.

L’KEN (C Goon) and BANGALORE (App N Varmah) were both slow to begin.

MONACO ACE (J Low) veered outwards at the start at the same time as FIRST SUCCESS (J De Souza) shifted in with ALL MY EYE (S Muniandy) and SIEW YUK (S Anandan) being crowded.

Jockey AK Lim, the rider of MAPLE RISING, dropped his whip at about the 1000M. After an inquiry and investigation, the Stewards were satisfied that Jockey AK Lim was negligent and fined him RM1000/- under MRA Rule 152(5)(a).

In the early stages, SIEW YUK raced greenly.

MOONSHINE MISTRESS (Z Khairil) drifted in over the concluding stages, and at the winning post, crowded GLOBAL ARMY (Y Aify).

In the final stages, Jockey R Shafiq steadied EXCALIBUR when YES BOSSY (App J Daniel) drifted in, thereafter Jockey R Shafiq eased EXCALIBUR. On inquiry, Jockey R Shafiq stated that EXCALIBUR was getting tired and he had therefore not ridden out to the end of the race. The Stewards reprimanded Jockey R Shafiq for failing to fulfill his requirements under MRA Rule 44(6) for failing to ride to the end of the race.

RACE 4 (R1491) CLASS 4 (B) – 1400M (LONG COURSE A)

STAR TOTO 6/50 STAKES

D’GREAT WIN (KC Wong) was tightened at the start when BIG BUS (App R Nuqman) veered out, and was slow to begin and then raced wide.

From the 1000M, HAPPY BUFFALO (C Goon) commenced to hang out. Jockey C Goon stated that he had not intended to lead but HAPPY BUFFALO raced fiercely and had been on one rein for the entire trip. A post-race veterinary examination of HAPPY BUFFALO revealed no significant finding. HAPPY BUFFALO will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again.

GLORIA MARIS (App CK Khaw) shifted in at the 300M when struck with the whip and veered out quickly over the final 100M, inconveniencing GOOD INTENTIONS (J Low).

App R Nuqman, the rider of BIG BUS, reported that his horse was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of BIG BUS revealed no significant finding.

A post-race veterinary examination of ROGER (Z Khairil) revealed that the gelding bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3) and thereafter will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

RACE 5 (R1492) CLASS 4 (A) – 1400M (LONG COURSE A)

JERAM VILLAGE (Y Aify) was slow to begin.

Running to the 1300M, MR PAULANDRE (App AR Aiman) shifted in causing LIM’S PERSHING (J Low) which was racing fiercely to be restrained. MR PAULANDRE continued to shift inwards, carrying EASTER MATE (Z Khairil) in onto MAYBE (App J Daniel) which was buffeted heavily, and then made contact with HIGH TENSILE (AK Lim). Given App AR Aiman’s inexperience with only five (5) rides, the Stewards issued him a severe reprimand.

Running to the 1000M, MAYBE continued racing fiercely, steadied inwards and bumped HIGH TENSILE which made contact with EASTER MATE on his inside.

SPADE OF ACE (App M Lukman) was ridden wide in the leading division in the early stages. App M Lukman, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, WC Lim, was shown the patrol film of his ride in the early stages, and advised that he should position his mount closer to other runners so as to maximize their chances.

ARC CARA (S Anandan) was obliged to race wide throughout.

GABBAR (S Muniandy) hung outwards throughout. A post-race veterinary examination of GABBAR revealed that the gelding returned exhibiting signs of respiratory distress and as such will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again.

The Stewards inquired into App AR Aiman’s riding of MR PAULANDRE with the whip in the final stages. It was established that App AR Aiman had used his whip in a backhand manner on the gelding’s shoulder more than 12 times. In light of this, App AR Aiman would not be permitted to carry whip in his next six (6) rides and therefore the Stewards will consider the manner in which he will be permitted to use his whip.

A post-race veterinary examination of JERAM VILLAGE (Y Aify) revealed that the gelding bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3) and thereafter will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

When questioned regarding the performance of LIM’S PERSHING, Jockey J Low stated that after being tightened early, he found himself at the rear of the field with a particularly fast pace. He had been unable to secure a passage through the field but in the straight, LIM’S PERSHING had failed to make ground and appeared to be uncomfortable in his action.

The Stewards received a report from a Club Official and questioned the Starter and his assistant related to Jockey SU Lim’s manner prior to being loaded on MASTER JIANGMEN. An inquiry was adjourned to allow Jockey SU Lim to call numerous riders and barrier handlers in support of his defense.

SPLENDOR (App P Deneskumar) was slow into stride.

MR CROWE (R Shafiq) dipped on jumping and then near the 1250M, had to check when racing fiercely and I AM THE BOSS (App S Zulfikri) shifted out.

Passing the 1000M, SHOWBOY (J De Souza) was crowded on the inside of the heels of DESIRE SKY (App WW Cheah) and when steadying, shifted in causing STICK SEEKER (Y Aify) to be steadied. On inquiry, App WW Cheah was reprimanded for failing to afford riders sufficient room on his inside.

D’GREAT LIGHT (AK Lim) raced wide throughout.

Jockey S Muniandy (MONSTER ENERGY) lost the use of his off side stirrup iron on jumping, became unbalanced and made heavy contact with App WW Cheah (METIER STAR).

PREMIUM STARS (App A Suriya) jumped awkwardly.

Running to the 1100M, THE DODGER (J Low) which was racing fiercely, crowded MONSTER ENERGY (S Muniandy) onto METIER STAR.

In the middle stages, MACARTHUR (Z Khairil) raced wide.

Passing the 250M, ALJAWHRA (R Shafiq) shifted out.

LARSON (Y Aify) and MISE EN GARDE (Z Khairil) were both checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and were passed fit to race.

WINGED FOOT (J De Souza) and RACER KING (KC Wong) bumped on jumping.

SPEEDY DEMON (S Salee) dipped at the start.

CONFEAT (J Low) and WINGED FOOT were both obliged to race wide in the middle stages.

When making ground in the straight, SOON SEEKER (App P Deneskumar) was impeded inside of SPEEDY DEMON and then had to be restrained severely over the final 125M off the heels of LA FAMILIA (S Muniandy).

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that SOON SEEKER returned having cast its near fore plate.

SHADOW SPEED (SU Lim) was inclined to hang inwards from the 250M.

At the 100M, BAKUTEH (S Anandan) shifted out and bumped with VAIN TYCOON (Y Aify).

App AR Aiman, the rider of ORIENTAL SPIRIT, reported that his horse was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of ORIENTAL SPIRIT revealed no significant finding.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that HARVEYWALLBANGER (App CK Khaw) returned having cast its near fore plate.

JUST DUIT (App S Rosmizan) shifted in quickly at the start causing AIR POWER (R Shafiq) which was slow to begin, to ease. App S Rosmizan was warned that he must not shift in quickly at the start.

In the early stages, MR EPIC (App S Zulfikri) and HYDRANT (App CK Khaw) raced fiercely. Shortly after the start, TRUMPS UP (KC Wong) had to be steadied when WAR LORD (Y Aify) shifted in.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that SGFIFTY (SU Lim) returned having cast its near fore plate.

As there was no other suitable rider available, the Stewards permitted App CK Khaw to replace Jockey AK Lim as the rider of SATELLITE GOLDEN.

SANDY’S PRIDE (App WW Cheah) jumped outwards and made contact with SMIDDY BYRNE (App J Daniel).

CATAPULT (App L De Souza) was slow to begin.

Passing the 250M, BUKIT SUBANG (R Shafiq) was held tight between WINNING TANGO (Y Aify) and SMIDDY BYRNE. Jockey R Shafiq was unable to ride his mount out fully until the concluding stages.

A post-race veterinary examination of LAW BY LAW (C Goon) revealed no significant finding.
