A race review was conducted into PACIFIC POWER (PH Seow). It was established that as the start was effected, PACIFIC POWER which was restless in the stalls during the loading process, threw its head on the side. In reviewing the incident of this horse, the Panel was of the view that this was a consequence of its own behavior and thereafter declared it a runner.
The Stewards, today, concluded an inquiry into the running and handling of GOLD EIGHTY-THREE. Evidence was taken from Jockey A Azizi and Trainer S Siva, the rider and trainer of GOLD EIGHTY-THREE respectively.
After reviewing the films of the incident and considering the evidence tendered, Jockey A Azizi pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(10) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey A Azizi’s mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) month with effect from 29 June 2026 and to expire on 28 July 2026, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

A race review was called into this incident, which was followed by an objection being lodged by Trainer C Leck the Trainer of the second-placed horse, PACIFIC HUNTER (SU Lim) against the first-placed horse, NIMBUS STAR (HS Gill) on the grounds of interference in the straight. After considering the evidence in this matter, the Panel of Stewards overruled the objection and ordered the judge’s result to stand.

Prior to the start was effected, DARK MOON (K Ai’sisuhairi) broke through the gate and galloped to the 1300M mark before being restrained. The gelding was returned to the barrier, checked by the Vet and passed fit to race. DARK MOON will be required to pass 1 Starting Stall test before being declared to race again.

At the 300M mark, MEGA MAXIMUS had to ease and switch out to continue its run when awkwardly placed on heels when FLAWLESS shifted in away from the whip. A race review was called into this incident, which was followed by an objection being lodged by Mr NM Selvan, the Trainer of the third-placed horse, MEGA MAXIMUS (SU Lim) against the second-placed horse, FLAWLESS (App M Ekdihar) on the grounds of interference in the straight. After considering the evidence in this matter, the Panel of Stewards overruled the objection and ordered the judge’s result to stand.
At the conclusion of an inquiry, App M Ekdihar, the rider of FLAWLESS, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, SU Lim, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding FLAWLESS, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to MEGA MAXIMUS in the concluding stages.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App M Ekdihar’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) race day to be served 5 July 2026. In lieu of one (1) race day, he was also fined RM1000/-.  He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
