At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey R Woodworth, the rider of AURISH STAR, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding AURISH STAR, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to CHECKMATE at the 1300M.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey R Woodworth’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record, and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) race day, to be deferred and served on 27 June 2026, and was also fined RM 1,500, to be paid before his next race meeting, in default of which he shall serve an additional one (1) day suspension. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
The Panel of Stewards, today, concluded an inquiry into the running and handling of SECRET BAOBEI and evidence was taken from Jockey Y Aify.
Jockey Y Aify pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(10) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards. In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration his mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) months with effect from 15 June 2026 and to expire on 14 August 2026, both dates inclusive. He was also fined RM5,000/- and advised of his Right of Appeal.

Prior to the running of the race, Trainer KC Tiang informed the Stewards that the instructions for BANKER’S PROUD were to race with cover. The Stewards noted his explanation. However, App G Farhan failed to ride to the instructions of the Trainer due to the gelding over-racing in the early and middle part of the race.
