COMMODORE LINCOLN had shown no pace today and he had been trapped wide from the 1000M. Further, COMMODORE LINCOLN had commenced to make a respiratory noise from the 1000M and had then coughed near the 800M. He was pushed wide by LIGHTNING HERO near the 800M and had to straighten when rolling in near the 450M. He further stated that COMMODORE LINCOLN had not responded to his urging mid-race or when ridden vigorously in the straight with the whip.

Trainer AB Abdullah stated that COMMODORE LINCOLN had been working well and as such elected to start a short back-up. He could not offer any explanation on the horse lack of early pace. He was advised that COMMODORE LINCOLN will not be permitted to start in any race for 3 weeks. A post-race veterinary examination of COMMODORE LINCOLN revealed no significant finding. The gelding was impounded.

INQUIRY INTO A COMPLAINT BY HEAD OF SLTC APPRENTICE SCHOOL ALLEGING MISCONDUCT TOWARDS HIM PRIOR TO THE RUNNING OF RACE 6 (R006) ON 1 JANUARY 2021 AT THE SELANGOR TURF CLUB

The Stewards inquired into a complaint by Mr Tai Lee Leong (LL Tai), the Head of SLTC Apprentice School, acting in the capacity of Paddock Steward, alleging threatening behavior towards him by Stable Supervisor Vijayaraj a/l Siva Kumar (SS.22), prior to the running of Race 6 on 1 January 2021 at the Selangor Turf Club.

Evidence was taken from Mr LL Tai (Head of Apprentice School), Mr Kamalavallo a/l Palianasamy (Paddock Steward), Trainer S Siva, Stable Supervisor Vijayaraj a/l Siva Kumar, Syce Thevindran a/l Siva Kumar (S.619) and Jockey S Zulfikri.
