GENERAL REPORT(S) – SLTC
APPEAL BY TRAINER LIM WOEI CHET (WC LIM) AGAINST THE FINE OF RM20,000/- FOR CONTRAVENTION OF MRA RULE 134(6)(a) RELATING TO A POST-RACE URINE SAMPLE CODED “37259” TAKEN FROM THE HORSE “NO MORE DELAY” WHICH RACED IN RACE 8 ON SATURDAY, 1 MARCH 2025 AT THE SELANGOR TURF CLUB MARCH MEETING 2025, AND WAS FOUND TO CONTAIN “METHAMPHETAMINE
The Selangor Turf Club Appeal Panel heard the above appeal on Sunday, 22 June 2025.
After considering submissions from Trainer WC Lim and the Chief Stipendiary Steward, the Appeal Panel upheld the appeal in part, against the conviction under MRA Rule 134(6)(a). On the issue of penalty, the Appeal Panel amended the penalty from RM20,000/- to an amount of RM20,000/- of which RM10,000/- is suspended for a period of one (1) year provided he is not found guilty of a similar offence during this period.
The deposit was ordered to be refunded.

Jockey T See was fined RM1000/- for misconduct under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for smoking in the Jockeys’ room.
THURSDAY, 19 JUNE 2025, SLTC TRACKWORK
Trainer WC Lim was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for presenting MEGA GEMS with an incorrect saddle cloth number for trackwork on the above date.

The report dated 19 June 2025 (V25/092) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 39 coded urine and 39 sets of coded blood samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on 15 June 2025, for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.
