RACE 1 (R1561) CLASS 5: (A) – 1700M
ELUSIVE GENIUS and LUCK DRAGON which had a bruised off fore heel and cellulitis near hind cannon respectively will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Trainer M Sukri was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours for LADY LIBERTY (S Anandan).
AGUERO (Z Khairil) raced wide from the 700M until entering the straight.
GOLDEN EMPIRE (App S Saddam) had to be steadied racing to the 100M when LIKE A JET (J Mallyon) rolled in.
Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of SHUYING XIAOXIAO, reported that his mount was making respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding returned broken-winded and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Jockey SS Vanan, the rider of KING SAVINSKY, reported that his mount was not striding out freely and was making respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality. KING SAVINSKY which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
The Stewards questioned Trainer T Asogan, the trainer of AGUERO into that gelding’s poor performance. Trainer T Asogan had no tangible explanation for the poor performance except that AGUERO is not suited by the pace of the race. He was advised to report back to the Stewards should he find anything amiss with the gelding during the week.
A post-race veterinary examination of GOLDEN EMPIRE revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 2 (R1562) CLASS 5 (B) – 1700M
SUPER RED which was up 18kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
BALBOA (HS Gill) jumped away awkwardly.
BATTLE PLAN (J Mallyon) jumped away awkwardly outwards, resulting in RAINBOW STAR (S Ruzaini) being checked and losing its position.
JACKWIN (R Rueven) was slow into stride.
RICH AND SMART (Z Khairil) was checked shortly after the start and lost its position when NATURAL WATER (AM Aizat) laid out.
BATTLE PLAN was difficult to settle in the early stages and got its head up.
Post-race veterinary examinations of BALBOA, RICH AND SMART and SUPERB SEVEN (HK Cheng) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 3 (R1563) CLASS 4 : (B) – 1200M
Emergency acceptor, HEART FEELING was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
RED GENERAL which was up 16kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
SUPER WOMAN (HK Cheng) jumped away awkwardly, veered out and lost its early position.
BIG BANK (AM Aizat) was slow to begin,
AUDACIOUS (S Ruzaini) was slow into stride.
SMOOTHLY (J Mallyon) had to be steadied between the 900M and the 800M when over-racing.
POLO BOY (App AK Lim) laid out racing to the 800M and clipped the heels of BIG CITY (Z Khairil).
AUDACIOUS shifted wide on entering the straight, taking POLO BOY wide on the track.
App H Syafiq, the rider of SUPER DRAGON and Jockey R Rueven, the rider of ONE MORE ACHIEVER, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of both geldings revealed no obvious abnormality.
Post-race veterinary examinations of BIG BANK, POLO BOY and SUPER GENIUS (M Yusri) revealed no obvious abnormality. SUPER GENIUS which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 4 (R1564) CLASS 4 : (A) – 1200M
HAPPY BABY and YOU ARE GENIUS which had cellulitis near fore leg and a nail prick near fore foot respectively will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
FAT POWER which was sore off fore tendon will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
PURE JUSTICE which was down 22kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
PURE JUSTICE (F Yap) was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to race.
The saddle on FAREES (App CC Foo) slipped on jumping away and as a result, FAREES was slow to begin and its rider was placed at a disadvantage in riding the gelding in his normal manner throughout the race.
BLACK IS POWER (S Ruzaini) showed no early pace.
Post-race veterinary examinations of FIERY SHINZO (R Rueven), PULAU PINANG (J De Souza), CIZEN (Y Aify) and FAREES revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 5 (R1565) COSMO B (SW)- 1200M
ONLY APPRENTICE ALLOWANCE PERMITTED
Emergency acceptors, MARY KING and L’APPRENTI SORCIER were both withdrawn due to a capacity field.
BACH’S AIR which sustained a cut near hind hock will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
LAUS DEO (J Mallyon) checked shortly after the start when MACARTHUR (Z Khairil) shifted out on jumping away
Jockey J Low, the rider of LOUEY VELOCE, was shown the vision of his ride in the straight with respect to his use of the whip and was advised that he should always use his whip in a manner so as to leave no room for query.
Post-race veterinary examinations of LAUS DEO, MACARTHUR and RAJA MAHKOTA (S Anandan) revealed no obvious abnormality. The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that MACARTHUR returned, having cast its near fore plate.

RACE 6 (R1566) CLASS 4: (A) – 1600M
Emergency acceptor, DOUBLE RAINBOW was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
YOU KNOW WHEN which was down 18kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
HUSSONATOR (App J Daniel) was slow into stride.
COLORADO PRINCE (S Anandan) had to be steadied racing to the 1400M and then was severely checked when clipping the heels of PURPLE RAIN LADY (AM Aizat) and as a consequence, Jockey S Anandan was nearly dislodged. After showing Jockey S Anandan the vision of the incident, the Stewards were unable to attribute blame to any of the riders.
MOLLY BROWNE (J Mallyon) had to be steadied at the 1200M when PURPLE RAIN LADY rolled in.
HAPPY SIXTYSIX (Z Khairil) raced wide from the 800M until entering the straight.
Post-race veterinary examinations of HAPPY SIXTYSIX, HUSSONATOR, IKING (App L De Souza) and COLORADO PRINCE revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 7 (R1567) CLASS 5 : (A) – 1100M
Emergency acceptors, DARK EXPRESS, MILITARY STAR and I’M A GENIUS were all withdrawn due to a capacity field.
AMISTAD which was down 17kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
CENTURY WORLD (AM Aizat) cast is off fore plate whilst parading and had to be re-shod. CENTURY WORLD was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to race.
CENTURY WORLD stood when the gates were released and lost considerable ground.
AMISTAD (C Goon) and BULL SPUR (App R Ruwaidy) showed no early pace despite being urged.
Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of CENTURY WORLD, reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the mare returned broken-winded and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of ALAN (J Low), AMISTAD and SECRET SPICE (App CK Khaw) revealed no obvious abnormality. AMISTAD which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 8 (R1568) CLASS 5 (A) : – 1100M
Emergency acceptor, ZAC GALLANT was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
MAGICAL TEN and BAIL OUT which were bruised both fore fetlocks and near fore sole respectively will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
WHISPERINTHEWIND (App J Daniel), after being placed in the barrier, attempted to go under the front of the gates and became cast. WHISPERINTHEWIND was withdrawn by order the Stewards at 4.53 pm. All the horses were removed from the barrier. The start of the race was delayed until 5.16 pm to enable the removal of WHISPERINTHEWIND which got cast in the barrier. Due to its adverse history, WHISPERINTHEWIND will be required to pass two (2) starting stall tests (at weekly intervals) before being declared to race again. App J Daniel was uninjured in this incident.
GALLOPY SWIFT (S Ruzaini) laid in passing the 300M and as a result, the rider had to stop riding and straighten his mount,
App H Syafiq, the rider of the winning horse LIVELY DRAGON dropped his whip in the last 50M of the race and was warned that a repetition could lead to action being taken.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that both BLIXEM (HK Cheng) and SCOTTIE (S Anandan) returned having cast their near fore plates. WHISPERINTHEWIND sustained abrasion on both side of the neck and will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

RACE 9 (R1569) CLASS 5 (B): – 1100M
Emergency acceptor, TRIPLE COIN was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
SUVARNABHUMI which had a sore back and LOYALTY’S ANGEL which was bruised near fore fetlock will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
This race was re-scheduled to start at 5.45 pm.
METEOR TWO (App R Ruwaidy) was withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 5.47 pm acting on veterinary advice that it was lame near fore. METEOR TWO will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
RANGITAIKI (J Mallyon) had to be steadied racing to the 1000M to avoid the heels of THONG’S JIAQING (App S Saddam).
App AK Lim, the rider of the winning horse WILL BE BETTER dropped his whip at about the 200M. He was warned that a repetition could lead to action being taken.
Post-race veterinary examinations of GHOST CITY (M Hanif) and HANDSOME BOSS (J Low) revealed no obvious abnormality.

Trainer T Asogan was fined RM200/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to comply with the PNTC trackwork regulations on 18th December 2018 at 7.45 am when AUDACIOUS (J688) trained by him did slow work on the No. 2 track which was designated for fast work only.
