RACE 1 (R189) CLASS 5(A) – 1300M

TILSWORTH JACOBI, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised near fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

A post-race veterinary examination of I AM KHAN (Z Khairil) revealed no obvious abnormality.

Trainer K Coetzee was questioned with regards to the improved performance of PLACE YOUR BET (S Saddam) today.  He explained that on a previous run on 28th January 2023 , Jockey SU Lim had ridden the horse and he attempted to tuck the horse in but was unable to do so and  raced to the front.  Today, Jockey S Saddam was able to settle the horse and this, in his opinion, accounted for the improvement.  His explanation was noted.
