RACE 1 (R757) CLASS 5 (B) – 1300M

JET ACE, a course scratching as it was bruised near fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

MR RIGHT, which was up 17kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

LEE’S SURPRISE (SS Vanan) was withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 12.55pm as there was no suitable rider available to replace Jockey SS Vanan who had failed to arrive on-course within the prescribed time.  Jockey SS Vanan was charged for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) as read with MRA Rule 44(2) which states that every jockey shall be on-course at least one hour prior to the advertised time of his first carded engagement and was fined RM1,000/- due to his adverse history.

RED SAPPHIRE (App WW Cheah) cast its off fore plate behind the barriers and had to be       re-shod, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to race.

MR RIGHT (Y Aify) shifted out on jumping away and checked SPEEDY NANCHO (SU Lim) which dipped.

ACIPENSER (KC Wong) was slow into stride.

Racing to the 1150M, RED SAPPHIRE had to steady off the heels of MR RIGHT which was shifting in and shortly thereafter, SPARKLER (AK Lim) which was over-racing, shifted in, tightening RED SAPPHIRE onto VALBERRY (Z Khairil) which was taken in, resulting in MR MIURA (J Low) having to be checked and lose its position.  The Stewards showed Jockeys Y Aify and AK Lim the vision of the incident and warned both jockeys that they should exercise more care when shifting ground under similar circumstances in future.

RICH AND SMART (HS Gill) commenced to shift in from the 200M and at the 100M, RED SAPPHIRE which was racing on the inside, had to steady to avoid its heels and shifted out for clear running.  Jockey HS Gill was shown the vision of the incident and warned to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that VALBERRY returned lame near fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

A post-race veterinary examination of BLIXEM (S Salee) revealed that the gelding returned with a cut into its near fore and having cast its off fore plate.

Post-race veterinary examinations of  EASTWOOD (C Goon) and D’GREAT EASY (R Shafiq) revealed no obvious abnormality.  D’GREAT EASY which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 2 (R758)  CLASS 5 (A) –  1300M

CHERON WARRIOR and OUR RIVER DANCER, both course scratchings as they were sore near fore cannon and sore off hind fetlock respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

DARK EXPRESS (Z Khairil) and ELITE ROCKET (C Goon) both jumped away awkwardly.

ELITE ROCKET and MR DREYFUSS (App CT Lee) both showed no early pace despite being urged.

Jockey SU Lim, the rider of CATCH ME GREAT, Jockey Y Aify, the rider of WINNING STAR and App S Saddam, the rider of MANMADHAN all reported that their mounts were not striding out freely.   Post-race veterinary examinations of CATCH ME GREAT and WINNING STAR revealed no obvious abnormality. MANMADHAN returned with a deep cut into its near hind tendon and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

A post-race veterinary examination of DARK EXPRESS revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 3 (R759) CLASS 5 (A)  – 1300M

EXCALIBUR, a course scratching as it had sustained a nail prick near fore foot, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

SUPER EIGHT (App  WW Cheah) was slow to begin and showed no early pace despite being urged.

D’GREAT EMPRESS (R Shafiq) raced wide from the 800M until entering the straight.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that EQUALLY OPTIMISTIC (App R Ruwaidy) bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

Post-race veterinary examinations of CAPE LINCOLN (Y Aify), MAZANDARAN (App S Saddam) and D’GREAT TALENT (KC Wong) revealed no obvious abnormality.  CAPE LINCOLN was impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

COLONEL LINCOLN (App CK Khaw) jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that COLONEL LINCOLN returned having cast its off fore plate.

Post-race veterinary examinations of BAYMAX (S Salee), AGUERO (AK Lim) and D’GREAT PERFECT (App CC Foo) revealed no obvious abnormality.  D’GREAT PERFECT which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

Trainer F Maynard was fined RM500/- under PNTC Official Racing Programme Clause 3.4 for scratching CONFEAT without an Official Veterinary Certificate.  In addition, he will have to pay the full Entry Fees and reimburse the Club all expenses incurred.

As Jockey R Shafiq was medically stood down by the Club Medical Officer, the Stewards permitted Jockey S Salee to replace him on GOLD POWER.

JUTSU (App S Saddam) jumped away awkwardly and showed no early pace despite being urged.

GRAND CANYON (M Yusri) was slow to begin.

Jockey HS Gill, the rider of LIM’S EVOLUTION, reported that his mount was not striding out freely.  A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no obvious abnormality.

Post-race veterinary examinations of JUTSU and HUN YEANG VILLAGE (SS Vanan) revealed no obvious abnormality.  JUTSU was impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

The Stewards questioned App S Saddam and Trainer C Robert, the rider and trainer of JUTSU respectively into the gelding’s poor performance today.  App S Saddam stated that his instructions were to be midfield or forward and that the gelding, after an awkward start, showed no early speed despite his urging and was back to last.  He further stated that JUTSU failed to respond to his riding from the 600M and in the straight, when he commenced to ride with his whip from the 300M, JUTSU again failed to respond.  Trainer C Robert explained that the gelding’s work and preparation had been normal and he confirmed his instructions and was disappointed with JUTSU’s race today.  Trainer C Robert was advised to report to the Stewards should he find any significant abnormality with the gelding during the week.

CONFIDE and CASEY, both course scratchings as they had sustained a bruised off fore fetlock and a bruised back respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

LIM’S SENSATION which was down 16kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

Trainer BT Lim was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours on LIM’S SENSATION (App M Sathiaa).

As Jockey R Shafiq was medically stood down by the Club Medical Officer, the Stewards permitted Jockey KC Wong to replace him on FEISTY LEO.

AUSSIE EAGLE (App CK Khaw) jumped away awkwardly and showed no early pace.

LIM’S SENSATION jumped away awkwardly.

GHOST BANK (Y Aify) and MIROTIC (SU Lim) bumped on jumping away.

Jockey Y Aify, the rider of GHOST BANK and Jockey Z Khairil, the rider of OVERSEER, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely.  Post-race veterinary examinations revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that SONIC-X (HK Cheng) returned with a cut into its right hip and that MIROTIC returned having cast its off hind plate.

Post-race veterinary examinations of LIM’S SINCERE (C Goon) and FEISTY LEO revealed no obvious abnormality.

WARRIOR KING, a course scratching as it was sore right eye, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

As Jockey R Shafiq was medically stood down by the Club Medical Officer, the Stewards permitted Jockey AK Lim to replace him on RUSTY BROWN.

On jumping away, the saddle on CONFOUND slipped to the near-side placing App WW Cheah at a disadvantage in riding his mount in the normal manner throughout the race

SING EXPRESS (HS Gill) was slow to begin and showed no early pace despite being urged.

TARZAN BOY (KC Wong) was disappointed for a run approaching the finish of the race when held up on the heels of RUSTY BROWN. 

Over the concluding stages, PULAU PINANG (App S Saddam) had to steady off the heels of D’GREAT RICH (J Low), shifted inwards and bumped POLO BOY (M Hanif).

Post-race veterinary examinations of CONFOUND and SING EXPRESS revealed no obvious abnormality.  CONFOUND was impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

A post-race veterinary examination of CASTLE CHOICE (App CT Lee) revealed that the gelding returned with a cut into its near hind fetlock.

CONFLIGHT, a course scratching as it had a bruised back, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

As Jockey R Shafiq was medically stood down by the Club Medical Officer, the Stewards permitted Jockey S Salee to replace him on BUENOS AIRES.

COMMANDO ECLIPSE (AK Lim) dislodged its rider en route to the start, was apprehended shortly thereafter, checked by Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to race.

SOUTHERN MAN (Y Aify) jumped away awkwardly, threw its head up and lost ground.

XZUBERANCE (HS Gill), when racing tight at the 800M, brushed the running rail and had to steady.

Jockey M Yusri, the rider of EATONS GOLD, was shown the vision of his ride over the concluding stages of the race and was advised of his obligation under MRA Rule 44(6), that is,  to ride his mount out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stewards.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that SOUTHERN MAN returned having cast its near fore plate.

Post-race veterinary examinations of PREMIUM STARS (J Low), BUENOS AIRES and EASTER MATE (KC Wong) revealed no obvious abnormality.

The whip of App S Rosmizan (ASTRO FAME) broke during the running of the race.

Post-race veterinary examinations of MORZART ECLIPSE (App S Saddam), LITTLEBITOFJOY (App S Hafis) and FIRST COMMAND (Z Khairil) revealed no obvious abnormality. FIRST COMMAND which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 10  (R766) CLASS 5 (B) – 1700M

As Jockey R Shafiq was medically stood down by the Club Medical Officer, the Stewards permitted Jockey HK Cheng to replace him on D’GREAT GLORY.

The Stewards granted permission for Jockey SS Vanan to replace Jockey S Salee as the rider of SUPER RED as the latter was unable to make the carded weight. Jockey S Salee was fined RM500/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) as read with MRA Rule 107(10).

SATELLITE TURBO (App CK Khaw) was slow to begin and showed no early pace despite being urged.

App S Rosmizan, the rider of CIRCUIT WINNER, Jockey HS Gill, the rider of AMISTAD and Jockey Y Aify, the rider of GHOST CITY, all reported that their mounts were not striding out freely.  Post-race veterinary examinations of the 3 geldings revealed no obvious abnormality.  CIRCUIT WINNER which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

Post-race veterinary examinations of D’GREAT GLORY and SATELLITE TURBO revealed no obvious abnormality.  SATELLITE TURBO was impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

The Stewards questioned App CK Khaw, the rider of SATELLITE TURBO, into that gelding’s poor performance today.  App CK Khaw stated that the gelding was often slowly away and was again today and that his instructions were, from a wide draw, to ride SATELLITE TURBO where he was comfortable.  He further stated that he urged the gelding to go forward again at the 800M and on entering the straight, commenced to ride SATELLITE TURBO with the whip and it responded only fairly.  He also stated that he considered that the gelding was better suited in softer going.  As Trainer HS Lim had left the course and was unable to be contacted, the Stewards adjourned the Inquiry to a date to be fixed.

PERAK TURF CLUB MAY/JUNE MEETING 2019

The report dated 7th June 2019 (V19/070) from the Chief Analyst of Usains Biomics Laboratory stated that 5 bottles of coded urine samples from the above race meeting were received on 26th May 2019 for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations.  No prohibited substances were detected.

Jockey S Muniandy who had provided a clear urine sample on 25th May 2019 for analysis, is cleared to resume riding at trackwork.

PERAK TURF CLUB MAY/JUNE MEETING 2019

The report dated 13th June 2019 (V19/072) from the Chief Analyst of USains Biomics Laboratory stated that 37 bottles of coded urine samples and 37 sets of coded blood samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on 2nd June 2019 for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations.  No prohibited substances were detected.
