RACE 1 (R685) CLASS 5(B) – 1300M
Emergency acceptors, GOLD SEAL and EASTWOOD were both withdrawn due to a capacity field.
GERMAN SPEED (App A Azizi) dislodged its rider behind the barriers, was apprehended, checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to race.
DANE’S ANATOMY (App S Hafis) was slow to begin.
GOLDEN EXPLORER (HS Gill) was slow into stride.
A post-race veterinary examination of GOLDEN EXPLORER revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Stewards questioned Trainer T Asogan, the trainer of GOLDEN EXPLORER into the gelding’s poor performance today. Trainer T Asogan was unable to offer any tangible explanation, however stated that Jockey HS Gill, the rider of GOLDEN EXPLORER reported to him that the gelding was restless in the barrier and did not handle today’s track conditions. However, Trainer T Asogan was advised to report to the Stewards should he find anything amiss with the gelding during the week.

LUCKY SIXTYSIX (App S Hafis) jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin.
App S Hafis, the rider of LUCKY SIXTYSIX reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no obvious abnormality, however had cast its off fore plate on returning

Emergency acceptors BEST DREAM and SHREDDER were both withdrawn due to a capacity field.
Trainer T Asogan was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for wrongly declaring App S Hafis instead of App P Haris on CAPE LINCOLN.
VENUS DE MILO (S Salee) was slow to begin.
Jockey R Rueven, the rider of GRAND SHOW, reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 4 (R 688) BANDED 62-89 – 1200M (SW)
Emergency acceptor, ASTRA was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
MARINE TREASURE and GEORGETOWN which were down 17kgs and 18kgs respectively in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.
Acting on veterinary advice that ARAGORN (App CT Lee) was sore off hind, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of ARAGORN at 3.33 pm. The gelding will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
MAGIC CITY (Y Aify) had to steady shortly after the start to avoid the heels of ANONYMOUS (J Daniel).
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that SILVER WIND (App S Hafis) returned having cast its off fore plate.
A post-race veterinary examination of MARINE TREASURE (R Rueven) revealed no obvious abnormality, however, the gelding had cast its near fore plate on returning.

STREETS OF FIRE, a course scratching as it was sore off fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
App S Hafis, the rider of FLYING DARCI, reported that his mount was making respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no obvious abnormality.
A post-race veterinary examination of DIAMOND SET (Z Khairil) revealed no obvious abnormality. The gelding which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
The Stewards questioned Jockey Z Khairil, the rider of DIAMOND SET, into the gelding’s poor performance today. He stated that DIAMOND SET failed to handle the going and he could not ride the gelding out in his normal manner.

Jockey SS Vanan, the rider of BATTLE HORSE and Jockey R Rueven, the rider of OLIVER reported that their mounts are not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of both geldings revealed no obvious abnormality.
Post-race veterinary examinations of HUN YEANG ROAD (J Low) and SUPER COME (App S Hafis) revealed no obvious abnormality.

HARLEY FLAME, a course scratching as it had sustained corneal ulcer right eye, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
OVERLORD and AMAZING ECLIPSE, both down 20kgs in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.
AMAZING ECLIPSE (App Akmazani) reared when the gates were released and lost some ground.
SWISS ROLL (App S Saddam) raced greenly in the middle stages of the race.

RACE 8 (R692) CLASS 5(A) – 1300M
BABEL, a course scratching as it was sore on the bulb of the off fore foot, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
LIKE A JET which was up 51kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
The Stewards permitted App CT Lee to replace App A Azizi as the rider of MIROTIC when the latter was stood down by the Club Medical Officer.
L’KEN (App R Narendran) refused to jump with the field and lost considerable ground at the start. The gelding will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.
The saddle on MARTELLO (AM Aizat) slipped back during the running of the race.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that NUMERO UNO (SS Vanan) bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.
Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of MARTELLO, reported that his mount was making respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no obvious abnormality.

GENERAL REPORT(S)
PNTC SECURITY DEPARTMENT REPORT DATED 30TH APRIL 2020 AGAINST TRAINER HS LIM FOR BRINGING UNAUTHORISED GUESTS TO THE PNTC PREMISES AT ABOUT 8.45 AM ON 30TH APRIL 2020 DURING MCO (MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER) PERIOD
Following an investigation into the above report, the Stewards advised Trainer HS Lim that he must comply with PNTC Standing Instructions and Regulations in light of the Covid-19 SOP, failing which action may be taken against him.
PNTC SECURITY DEPARTMENT REPORT DATED 16TH JULY 2020 REGARDING MISCONDUCT OF MR CHUAH CHONG AIK (MRA PASS NO. SC 43), AN EMPLOYEE OF TRAINER HS LIM
Following an investigation into the above matter, the Stewards warned Mr. Chuah Chong Aik (MRA Pass No. SC 43) for misconducting himself towards a PNTC Security Guard at about 9.00 am on 16th July 2020 at the PNTC premises.
Trainer HS Lim was advised to ensure proper conduct of his employees.
PRE-RACE BLOOD TEST – SATURDAY, 12TH SEPTEMBER 2020
PENANG TURF CLUB SEPTEMBER MEETING 2020
The report dated 12th September 2020 (PNTC #V20/10) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 103 coded blood samples were received from the above- mentioned race meeting for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. All the samples were analyzed and passed the pre-race testing criteria.
