Trainers AB Abdullah and SY Lim shared the training honours with four winners each respectively from the card of 19 races at the Selangor Turf Club.

Abdullah got off the mark in Race 5 with Race For Fame (Pinheiro), then in the following event with AlJawhra (R Shafiq) and won in Race 7 with Panca Delima (KC Wong) on Saturday and on Sunday, he saddled Running Flame (Pinheiro) to win Race 2.
Trainer SY Lim’s four winners were in the opening event on Saturday with Nova Phoenix (Ruzaini). Then he saddled a fine treble on Sunday with Duty First (HS Gill) in Race 3, El Tordillo (Anandan) in Race 4 and Ground Control (J De Souza) in Race 8.
Trainer Frank Maynard saddled a treble all on Sunday with The Dogger (J Low) in Race 5, Calvados (J Low) in Race 7 and completed his win in the last event with Don’tMindIfido (App M. Akmazani).
Trainer Lawson Moy managed to saddle a double with Mewtwo (Pinheiro) in Race 2 on Saturday and Street Of London (Y Aify) in the opening event on Sunday.

Trainers with a single win were Evert van Breukelen, Master Jiangmen, (J Low, Race 3, Sat). S. Sivakumar, Brilliant Star (AK Lim, Race 4, Sat), Charles Leck, Arlo (S.Ruzaini, Race 8, Sat), Veteran trainer Malcolm Thwaites, Red Rackham (Salee, Race 9, Sat). Shane Edwards Truson (Pinheiro, Race 6, Sun) and Steven Cook Big Banks (HS Gill, Race 9).


Once again, Brazilian Jockey Bernando Pinheiro was in great form securing another four winners to his credit from the card of 19 races at Selangor Turf Club. The 23-year-old lad rode Mewtwo in Race 2 and then steered Race For Fame in Race 5 on Saturday and on Sunday, he rode Running Flame in Race 2 and took the plum of the meeting when he skillfully rode Truson in Race 6 to capture the Selangor Gold Cup, the second leg of the ever popular Triple Crown Series.
Local jockey Jackson Low was in great form when rode three winners. He got his first winner on Saturday on Master Jiangmen (Race 3). He rode a double on Sunday with The Dogger (Race 5) and Calvados (Race 7).
Jockeys S. Ruzaini and HS Gill got a double each respectively. Ruzaini’s two winners were on Saturday in the opening event with Nova Phoenix and Arlo in Race 8.
HS Gill’s double was on Sunday in Race 3 with Duty First and in Race 9 with Big Banks.
