Trainers Lawson Moy, SY Lim and Frank Maynard shared the honours when they saddled two winners each respectively in the card of nine races at the one day special meeting at Selangor Turf Club last Saturday.

Trainer SY Lim’s two winners were in Race 2 with Six Empire (AK Lim) and in Race 8 with Gyarados (Pinheiro).
Singaporean Lawson Moy took the opening event with Smiddy Byrne with replacement rider AK Lim on board to nip Puravi at the shadows of the winning post. He then saddled Mr Wolff with in form Brazilian rider Bernando Pinheiro to win the last event of the day.
While trainer Frank Maynard’s double were in Race 5 with Don’t Mind Ifido (Apprentice M. Akmazani) and in Race 7 with Sacred Galaxy (Pinheiro).

 

Trainers with a single win were Malcolm Thwaites in Race 3 with Blue Eyed Boy (CK Khaw), Shane Ellis victory came in Race 4 with Flash One (Pinheiro) and AB Abdullah’s winner was in Race 6 with Race For Fame (Pinheiro).

Brazilian Jockey Bernardo Pinheiro was the toast of the day when he rode five winners in the card of nine races last Saturday. The 23-year-old lad from São Paulo started his winning streak in Race 4 with Shane Ellis trained Flash One, then he went to win in Race 6 with Race For Fame, continued his winning quest in Race 7 with Sacred Galaxy, in Race 8 with Gyarados, and capped a great day in the last event on chance mount in Mr Wolff.
Jockey AK Lim rode two winners, taking the opening event with chance mount on Smiddy Byrne and the following event with Six Empire.

Apprentice CK Khaw rode Blue Eyed Boy to win in Race 3 and Apprentice M.Akmazani rode Don’t Mind Ifido in Race 5.
