Trainers MW Teh and Charles Leck managed to saddle a double each respectively, from the card of eight races at the one day Special Race Meeting at Selangor Turf Club last Sunday.
Former jockey turned trainer MW Teh, took the opening event with Lucky Victory and his second in Race 6 with Mat Smart.While Charles Leck’s two winners were in Race 5 with Guilty Pleasures and in Race 7 with William King.
Trainers with a single winner were: Johnny Lim (Happy Ghost, Race 2), SY Lim (Teh Tarik, Race 3), Simon Dunderdale (Semantan Prince, Race 4) and Richard Lines (D’Great Magic, Race 8).
Last season Champion Jockey, HS Gill, was in top form when rode a double from the card of eight races on Sunday. Gill steered MW Teh trained Lucky Victory to a narrow win in the opening event and went to win in Race 7 with Charles Leck trained William King.
Riders with a single win were Apprentice A.Zaimuddin (Happy Ghost, Race 2), Calvin Goon (Teh Tarik, Race 3), Japanese rider Y.Sakito (Semantan Prince, Race 4), SU Lim (Guilty Pleasures, Race 5), J. Daniel (Mat Smart, Race 6) and Jackson Low (D’Great Magic, Race 8)
