The Selangor Turf Club’s annual International Racing Carnival will be held on Saturday, 6 and Sunday, 7 October 2018.

A total of eight international and local racing clubs and authorities will be participating in the International Racing Carnival. This year’s representation comprises Korea Racing Authority, Kitajo Farm, Macau Jockey Club, Melbourne Racing Club, Penang Turf Club, Perak Turf Club, Singapore Turf Club and The Royal Bangkok Sports Club. Each of the racing clubs/authorities will have a race named after their Clubs and representatives are invited be present the prizes of their named race.

The Club will be hosting the running of three reciprocal races. The scheduled reciprocal races are Korea Racing Authority Trophy, Macau Jockey Club Goodwill Cup and Melbourne Racing Club Trophy.

The Club will also run its biggest race of the year, the RM300,000 Piala Emas Sultan Selangor on Sunday, 7 October 2018. Representing the final leg of the Club’s Triple Crown Series, the Piala Emas Sultan Selangor race featuring a distance of 2,000 metres is the blue ribbon event for the top stayers in the country. 

The first and second leg of the Triple Crown Series featuring the Tunku Gold Cup and the Selangor Gold Cup races were ran in April and May respectively.

The Club will also be staging a sponsored races on 7 October. The Sungai Besi Autoworld Cup, is sponsored by Sungai Besi Autoworld Sdn Bhd, one of the largest used car management company in Klang Valley with more than 50 used car dealers operating under their belt offering thousands of cars to choose from.
