Brazilian jockey, Bernardo Pinheiro , will make his debut at this weekend races at Selangor Turf Club. The 23-year-old rider who was born in the suburbs of Rio De Janeiro enrolled as an Apprentice at a riding school in 2013 in Brazil and completed the course in October the same year. In November 2013, Bernardo made his debut as an Apprentice Jockey and won his first race on the same day. He became the Champion Apprentice for the season 2013 till 2014 and became a Professional Jockey in 2015 after riding more than 180 winners. Bernardo took up his challenge when he rode in Dubai and Bahrain in 2017. On his return to Brazil, Bernardo won 19 races as Professional Jockey and once again rode in Dubai where he won a number of top feature races. Bernardo has ridden 417 winners to date and on Saturday he got four rides while on Sunday he got seven rides. He was granted licence till end of this year.
