21 November 2025, Kuala Lumpur

The first of a double-header of race meetings at the Selangor Turf Club takes place on Saturday, 22 November, with 11 races on the card. It is a competitive programme overall, and only two races stand out where punters may be able to narrow their selections.

The first of these—and the best bet of the day—comes in Race 7 with Banker’s Beautiful from the BT Lim stable, who won on her local debut two weeks ago. This is arguably a tougher task for her, but she does have a light weight to carry, with apprentice Farhan claiming 4 kg, which will certainly aid her chances. She was impressive in the build-up to her debut win, scoring in a barrier trial where she showcased her big stride in an easy victory. Unfortunately, she was scratched a week later when leaving the parade ring after injuring herself.

She finally stepped out for her long-awaited local debut two weeks ago, and the wait proved worthwhile. She had plenty of ground to make up from the 800m mark and even had to check at one stage, losing momentum. However, apprentice G. Farhan kept his composure and rode a confident race, remaining motionless before drawing away to win by 2.25 lengths. She looks a horse capable of climbing through the divisions in Malaysia, though she will need to prove it from barrier 14 on Saturday.

The second horse to follow comes in the next event, Race 8, with Irish Goodbye from the Lawson Moy stable. He will be aiming to keep his unbeaten Malaysian record intact, having won two from two in the country, including the Safar Gemilang Cup in his most recent start. He arrives third-up in Malaysia with plenty of improvement still to come and appears to be a difficult horse to beat.

IRISH GOODBYE

This weekend’s meeting also sees the return of South African jockey K. Brewer, who will be riding for the remainder of the season and next season, primarily for trainer S. Dunderdale and Buffalo Stable. He has two rides on Saturday: Eruption in Race 7 and Typhoon in Race 10. Brewer left a strong impression during his previous stint, recording two wins—including the Tabcorp Trophy—and attracting significant betting support for his rides the following weekend.

The first race is scheduled for 12:30 pm local time.
