STEWARDS’ REPORT – PERAK AUGUST MEETING 2023

SATURDAY – 26^th AUGUST 2023

RACE 2 (R912)       CLASS 5 (B) – 1600m (lc) MAGNOLIA HANDICAP              

At the conclusion of an inquiry today, Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of SING DARCI pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii), in that approaching the 500M-mark, he shifted in when insufficiently clear of TRINITY HONOR (S Ruzaini), resulting in TRINITY HONOR having to check and lose ground.

In assessing the penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into considerations Jockey AM Aizat’s guilty plea and mitigating factors.  He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) race days, effective from Monday, 28^th August 2023 and to expire on Saturday, 9^th September 2023, both dates inclusive.   He was informed of his right of appeal (2.35pm).
