At the conclusion of an inquiry, App Z Syafifie, the rider of SINGHA BAY, in the presence of his Employing Trainer’s representative, Trainer WC Lim who is also the Trainer of the horse, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding SINGHA BAY, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to BANKER’S GLORY, DRAGON CLAW and PACIFIC MASTER shortly after the start.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App Z Syafifie’s mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 15 December 2025 and to expire on 28 December 2025, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey XC Liang, the rider of DRAGON CLAW, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding DRAGON CLAW, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to SESON, FOREVER SIXTY-ONE and AI ROCKET in the concluding stages.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey XC Liang’s mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) Malaysian race day with effect from 15 December 2025 and to expire on 21 December 2025, both dates inclusive.  In lieu of one (1) Malaysian race day, he was also fined RM1,500/-.  He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

RACE 1 (R0839) CLASS 5B – 1150M (Track II), SUNDAY, 7 DECEMBER 2025, SELANGOR TURF CLUB DECEMBER MEETING 2025

The SLTC Committee acceded to App PH Seow’s further request for her one (1) day suspension to be served on 28 December 2025 (and the fine remained as RM2000/-).

AMENDMENT

RACE 1 (R0839) CLASS 5B – 1150M (Track II), SUNDAY, 7 DECEMBER 2025, SELANGOR TURF CLUB DECEMBER MEETING 2025

At the conclusion of an inquiry, App PH Seow, the rider of PACIFIC BRAVO, in the presence of her Employing Trainer, J Ong, was found guilty of a charge under MRA Rule 121(2) in that she weighed back in underweight more than ½ kg from the weight she weighed out at.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App PH Seow’s mitigating factors, previous riding record and her submissions on penalty. She was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) Malaysian race day, to be deferred, with effect from 15 December 2025 and to expire on 21 December 2025, both dates inclusive. In lieu of one (1) Malaysian race day, she was also fined RM2,000/-. She was advised of her Right of Appeal.

RACE 6 (R0844) SUPREME A – 1200M (SC A), SUNDAY, 7 DECEMBER 2025, SELANGOR TURF CLUB DECEMBER MEETING 2025

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey Z Khairil, the rider of HASTEN, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding HASTEN, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to SHANG CHI at the 800M.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey Z Khairil’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 15 December 2025 and to expire on 28 December 2025, both dates inclusive, to be served with any other penalty.  In lieu of one (1) Malaysian race day, he was also fined RM2,000/-. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

RACE 9 (R0847) (Group 1) – 2000M (LC A), SUNDAY, 7 DECEMBER 2025, SELANGOR TURF CLUB DECEMBER MEETING 2025

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey KA Brewer, the rider of ALWAYS A GENTLEMEN, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding ALWAYS A GENTLEMEN, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to LUCKY MAGIC.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey KA Brewer’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) Malaysian race day, to be deferred, with effect from 15 December 2025 and to expire on 21 December 2025, both dates inclusive. In lieu of one (1) Malaysian race day, he was also fined RM1,500/-. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

Jockey CK Khaw (WAR CODE) was fined RM1000/- under MRA Rule 44(11) for failing to report to the Stewards circumstances that may have affected the performance or the chances of his horse in the race.
