Leaving the 300M, FRIEND OF HONOR which attempted to improve into a narrow run was carried in by PACIFIC SONIC which shifted in away from the whip when hanging in in the straight. Subsequently, FRIEND OF HONOR was disappointed for a clear run at the 200M and had to switch out to obtain clear running in the concluding stages.

A race review was called into this incident, which was followed by an objection being lodged by Trainer S Dunderdale, the Trainer­­­­­­­­­­­­­ of the second placed horse, FRIEND OF HONOR (R Shafiq) against the winner, PACIFIC SONIC (PH Seow) on the grounds of interference from the 250M. After considering the evidence in this matter, the Panel of Stewards overruled the objection and ordered the judge’s result to stand.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, App S Bahauddin, the rider of WAIT U KNOW, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, J Leck, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding WAIT U KNOW, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to BULL FIGHT and FAMILY DELIGHT at approximately the 800M.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App S Bahauddin’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) race day to be served on 5 April 2026.  In lieu of one (1) race day, he was also fined RM1000/-.  He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey KC Low, the rider of KIM POWER, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding KIM POWER, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to PACIFIC PADRINO and  COOL SIXTY-ONE and BANKER’S BEAUTIFUL at approximately the 1200M.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey KC Low’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) race days with effect from 30 March 2026 and to expire on 11 April 2026, both dates inclusive He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey KC Wong’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) race day to be deferred and served on 11 April 2026.  In lieu of one (1) race day, he was also fined RM1,500/.  He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
