App H Haikal, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, HY Cheng, appeared before the Panel and was questioned regarding his ride on SHADOW DANCER. His attention was specifically drawn to whether he had afforded the horse a breather between the 1200M and 400M mark.
In this regard, he explained that he had attempted to shift towards the rail. However, his mount lacked the necessary pace, resulting in him being caught in an undesirable position, leading the field with one off from the rail. The Panel noted his explanation.
An inquiry into Trainer J Leck’s absence will be held at a date to be fixed.

Jockey J Mallyon (PACIFIC WINDSOR) appeared before the Panel and was questioned regarding his tactics adopted in this race. He explained that passing the 900M mark, he was conscious that the leader, PACIFIC SPIRIT, had run a fast race and he anticipated that the horse would come back to the field. Therefore, he decided to position himself just off the rail. However, due to the fast pace of the race, PACIFIC WINDSOR failed to close the ground. The Panel noted his explanation.

INQUIRY INTO A REPORT RELATING TO A POST-RACE URINE SAMPLE CODED “39229” TAKEN FROM THE HORSE “TAVI WILL DO” WHICH RACED IN RACE 11 ON SUNDAY, 8 MARCH 2026 AT THE SELANGOR TURF CLUB MARCH MEETING 2026, AND WAS FOUND TO CONTAIN “PROCAINE & XYLAZINE 4-OH”
The Stewards concluded an inquiry into the above matter on Sunday, 5 April 2026 at the Selangor Turf Club, and evidence was taken from Trainer Jason Lim (J Lim), the Trainer of TAVI WILL DO.
Trainer J Lim pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 134(6)(a) in that he was the trainer and person responsible for racing the horse TAVI WILL DO which finished fourth (4th) in Race 11 run on Sunday, 8 March 2026 at the Selangor Turf Club, when its post-race urine sample disclosed, upon analysis, the substances “Procaine & Xylazine 4-OH”.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration the type of drug, the nature of the drug involved, Trainer J Lim’s guilty plea, his mitigating factors and previous record. Trainer J Lim was fined RM15,000/- , however, the RM5,000/- was payable with immediate effect and the remaining RM10,000/- payable only if Trainer J Lim was found guilty of a prohibited substance in contravention within the next three (3) years. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
In addition, in terms of MRA Rule 134(11), TAVI WILL DO was disqualified from the race and the results will be amended accordingly.
