At the conclusion of an inquiry, App S Bahauddin, the rider of PACIFIC SOLDIER, in the presence of his Employing Trainer’s representative, C Leck, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding PACIFIC SOLDIER, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to ARI and BANKER’S PAIR FOUR at approximately the 900M.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App S Bahauddin’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) SLTC race days to be served on 14 & 21 June 2026. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, App M Zulhilmi, the rider of BIG NEWS, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, F Maynard, pleaded guilty to a charge of reckless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(i) in that whilst riding BIG NEWS, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to FORTUNE COOKIE between the 400M and the 300M.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App M Zulhilmi’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) month with effect from 8 June 2026 and to expire on 7 July 2026, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

Trainer S Dunderdale was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for presenting ARTOIS with an incorrect white saddle cloth number for trackwork on the above date.
RACE 10 (R0387) CLASS 4B – 1500M (LC A4), SATURDAY, 23 MAY 2026, SELANGOR TURF CLUB MAY MEETING 2026
Jockey R Woodworth (FLYING NEMO) subsequently exercised his Right of Appeal and applied for a Stay of Sentence. The Panel of Stewards considered the application for a stay which was granted. The appeal hearing will be held at a date to be fixed.

Trainer V Sivan was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that he presented GOLDEN DASH without surcingle for its Official Barrier Trial on the above date.

The report dated 4 June 2026 (FAS-EDT-2026/V016) from the Chief Analyst of FORTRIS Analytical Services stated that 60 bottles of coded equine urine and 60 sets of coded blood sample from the above-mentioned race meeting were received on 24 May 2026, for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.
