RACE 3 (R0871) CLASS 4B – 1150M (Track II +4)

3	JUNGLE KING (AL Da Silva)	Shifted out at the 700M. Returned with a cut on the near hind – Vet exam. *(See Report)

After the race, App PH Seow required a medical treatment, however, she was subsequently passed fit to ride and fulfill the remainder of her riding engagements.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey AL Da Silva, the rider of JUNGLE KING, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding JUNGLE KING, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to PACIFIC COMMANDER at the 700M.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey AL Da Silva’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) Malaysian race day with effect from 22 December 2025 and to expire on 28 December 2025, both dates inclusive. In lieu of one (1) Malaysian race day, he was also fined RM3000/-. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

RACE 6 (R0874) OPEN MAIDEN – 1400M (SC A)

RACE 11 (R0879) CLASS 4A – 1500M (LC A)

4	BANKER’S STRONG (App G Farhan)	Shifted in at the 1000M. Raced wide in the middle stages. Apprentice cautioned regarding shifting ground in races.
5	ZED OR ALIVE (KA Brewer)	Slow into stride. Had to ease at the 1000M. Hung in in the concluding stages.
6	RED DRAGON (CK Khaw)	Slow to begin.
8	IMPERIAL WAVE (SU Lim)	Eased at the concluding stages.
9	KIM EMPIRE (Y Aify)	Shifted in away from the whip in the straight.
10	DANGEROUS CHANCE (HK Cheng)	Raced wide throughout. Trainer HY Cheng fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to submit an application for the jockey to ride overweight.

In the concluding stages, FORTUNE GOLD was tightened for galloping room when awkwardly placed on the inside of PACIFIC SKY which shifted in in reaction to BANKER’S VICTORY which was racing in close proximity and hung in whilst under the use of the whip. Thereafter FORTUNE GOLD was racing in restricted galloping room and awkwardly placed on the heels of PACIFIC SKY.

A race review was called into this incident, which was followed by an objection being lodged by Trainer R Lim, the Trainer of the fourth placed horse (FORTUNE GOLD) against the third placed horse, PACIFIC SKY (App J Ikram) on the grounds of interference in the concluding stages. After considering the evidence in this matter, the Panel overruled the objection and ordered the judge’s result to stand.
