Jockey R Shafiq (SURFING CLOUD) was fined RM250/- under MRA Rule 107(10) for failing to make the carded weight. The Panel of Stewards granted permission for Jockey S Uzair to replace Jockey R Shafiq as the rider of this horse.

1	SMOKE AND MIRRORS (App PH Seow)	Switched in to continue its run at the 350M.
4	SOUTHERN SPEED (T See)	Jockey dropped his right side rein at the 300M, which he regained after the finish. He was fined RM250/- under MRA Rule 44(11) for failing to report the Stewards regarding this incident immediately after the race.

Jockey R Shafiq (SUPER MANJUNG) was questioned regarding his ride on the mare. In this regard, he explained that he had ridden this mare on multiple occasions and in his opinion, the mare started to lose momentum whenever he uses his whip. He stated that he then decided to ride this mare with hands only and keep a balance.

Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Apprentice stated that he was instructed to obtain cover and it is not his intention to lead, however, after jumping well, he elected to take the opportunity to obtain a forward position and take lead. Vet inspection: Heat stress. Vet exam.

WRITTEN TOWIN

(Z Khairil)

Vet inspection: No significant finding.

Jockey Z Khairil (WRITTEN TOWIN) was questioned regarding his positioning in the early stage of the race. In particular, he was questioned as to whether or not he could have been more aggressive in order to secure a more favourable position after a fair jump. In this regard, Jockey Z Khairil explained that after squeezing his mount to hold its position from a fair jump, this gelding did not show the pace he anticipated.

He further explained that he was conscious of the outside horse crossing him due to his mount showing insufficient speed to hold its position which may have impacted the vigour of his riding. Additionally, he stated that when placing WRITTEN TOWIN under early pressure, he had heard his horse cough, however, after finding its rearward position, he was satisfied to continue to ride this horse thereafter. The Panel noted his explanation.

11	CAPTAIN SINGAPORE (CC Wong)	Returned cut on the left hind thigh – Vet exam.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey L De Souza, the rider of IRONCLAD, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding IRONCLAD, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to GOLDEN SENTIENCE at the 250M.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey L De Souza’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) Malaysian race day, to be deferred, with effect from 23 June 2025 and to expire on 28 June 2025, both dates inclusive. In lieu of one (1) Malaysian race day, he was also fined RM1,500/–. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey KC Wong, the rider of PLATINUM UNIVERSAL, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding PLATINUM UNIVERSAL, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to SILVER SAMURAI (R Iskandar) in the concluding stages.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey KC Wong’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) Malaysian race day with effect from 16 June 2025 and to expire on 22 June 2025, both dates inclusive. In lieu of one (1) Malaysian race day, he was also fined RM1,500/-. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey XC Liang, the rider of WINNING SYMPHONY, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding WINNING SYMPHONY, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to CLOUT and BIG ASIA at the 700M.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey XC Liang’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 16 June 2025 and to expire on 30 June 2025, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey AL Da Silva, the rider of SINGHA BAY, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding SINGHA BAY, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to GURU FIGHT at the 250M.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey AL Da Silva’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) Malaysian race day, to be deferred, with effect from 23 June 2025 and to expire on 28 June 2025, both dates inclusive. In lieu of one (1) Malaysian race day, he was also fined RM1,500/–. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

RACE 9 (R0420) 4 YEAR OLD – 1200M (SC A)

Jockey CC Wong (ANTIPODEAN) was questioned regarding his ride in the straight. In this regard, he explained that he has ridden this gelding previously and this gelding typically made its run from the outside in the straight. However, in this race, he was positioned on the rail from the start. Accordingly, entering the straight, the best available run for him was on the inside, which he elected to take. He added that the gelding did not appreciate being positioned inside the runners and unexpectedly, began to hang out under pressure.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey CK Khaw’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) Malaysian race day, to be deferred, with effect from 23 June 2025 and to expire on 28 June 2025, both dates inclusive. GENERAL REPORT(S) – SLTC

TUESDAY, 10^TH JUNE 2025, SLTC TRACKWORK

Trainer WC Lim was fined RM250/- under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for galloping MEGA GEMS on Track II, which was designated only for white cloth saddle number horses, during above trackwork.

Jockey R Shafiq was fined RM250/- under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to produce medical clearance certificate prior to resuming his riding in barrier trials and trackwork,
