At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey PH Seow, the rider of PACIFIC EMPIRE, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding PACIFIC EMPIRE, she failed to ensure that she did not cause interference to FRIEND OF HONOUR and SUPER at the 1200M.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey PH Seow’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. She was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) race day, to be deferred and served on 26 April 2026, both dates inclusive. In lieu of one (1) race day, she was also fined RM 1500/–. She was advised of her Right of Appeal.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey J De Souza, the rider of BORNEO STAR, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding BORNEO STAR, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to TOMMY GUN and DANCING TYCOON at the 800M.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey J De Souza’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) race days with effect from 13 April 2026 and to expire on 26 April 2026. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App J Ikram’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) race day, to be deferred and served on 19 April 2026. In lieu of one (1) race day, he was also fined RM1000/–. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

In the concluding stages, RED DRAGONFLY was bumped out by STORM TITAN which attempted to switch out for clear running when positioned behind of BANKER’S VICTORY which shifted in prior.
A race review was called into this incident, which was followed by an objection being lodged by Trainer CC Ooi, the Trainer of the judges’ third placed horse, RED DRAGON (CK Khaw) against the judges’ second placed horse, STORM TITAN(R Shafiq) on the grounds of interference in the concluding stages. After considering the evidence in this matter, the Panel of Stewards overruled the objection and ordered the judge’s result to stand.
Subsequently, Jockey R Shafiq, Jockey of the judges’ second placed horse (STORM TITAN) lodged an objection against the judges’ first placed horse, BANKER’S HAPPY (J Kamaruddin) on the grounds of interference in the concluding stages. After considering the evidence in this matter, the Panel of Stewards overruled the objection and ordered the judge’s result to stand.

At the conclusion of an inquiry today (12 April 2026), Jockey R Nuqman, the rider of MR HAPPY, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding MR HAPPY, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to GIVE ME FIVE, PACIFIC EMPIRE, BANKER’S WIN, CHARITY GOLD and LIM’S SINAI at the 1100M.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey R Nuqman’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) race day, to be deferred and served on 19 April 2026. In lieu of one (1) race day, he was also fined RM1,500/-. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
REPORT OF ANALYSIS ON CLEARING SAMPLE
The clearing sample which was taken from QUEEN OF STAR on 5 April 2026, revealed that no prohibited substance was detected and as such, QUEEN OF STAR is cleared to race under MRA Rule 134(12).
