At the conclusion of an inquiry, App R Nuqman, the rider of LANKARAN, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, BT Lim, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding LANKARAN in this race, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to ELISE (App A Nazir) at the 1100M mark.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App R Nuqman’s mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of three (3) Malaysian race days with effect from 11 December 2023 and to expire on 24 December 2023, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
At the conclusion of on inquiry, App A Nazir, the rider of ELISE, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, F Maynard, pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(11) in that
after the running of this race, he failed to report an incident that occurred at about the 1100M where he received pressure from LANKARAN which caused his mount to ease and lose ground to other runners.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App A Nazir’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 11 December 2023 and to expire on 23 December 2023, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
