Trainer Charles Leck who took it easy at the start of the season, stole the limelight with four winners in the card of twenty races over the weekend at Selangor Turf Club. He started with a treble on Saturday with SU Lim winning on Flying Shadow in race 2, followed by Apprentice A Suriya on Panda Bomb in race 7 and capped the day in the last with Street Champ also ridden by budding Apprentice A Suriya. On Sunday, he added another winner in race 6 with Browcow ridden by Apprentice L De Souza.
Former jockey turned trainer Tan Soo Beng managed to saddle three winners with R Shafiq on Panca Delima in race 3 and Hero Champion ridden by J Low in race 8 on Saturday and added another in Race 7 on Sunday with La Familia ridden by R Shafiq.

Trainers saddled two winners were: SY Lim trained Elegant Dancer ridden by R Shafiq won the opening event on Saturday and Thai Baht ridden by Y Aify also winning the opening event on Sunday, Richard Lines trained Winged Foot ridden by KC Wong and Real Mean ridden to a determined finish by Jockey De Souza to win the last event on Sunday, Shane Edwards double came courtesy of Bella Veloce ridden by J Mallyon winning race 6 on Saturday and Mise En Garde ridden by Z Khairil in race 3 on Sunday. Lawson Moy won with Premium Rush ridden by Apprentice J Daniels in race 5 on Saturday and Thank You Boss ridden by Y Aify in race 2 on Sunday. Trainer Frank Maynard’s double were on Sunday with Forsa Eclipse ridden by Jockey Ruzaini in Race 5 and he took the main event of the day with Tiger Bay ridden by Jockey De Souza in race 8.
Trainers saddled a single winner were : S. Hamilton Secret Spice ridden by Salee winning race 9 on Saturday, Wayne Lim with Mediation ridden by J Low in race 4 on Sunday and Shane Ellis with Brother Wind ridden by J De Souza in race 9 on Sunday.
On the jockeys’ front, R. Shafiq rode a treble with SY Lim’s trained Elegant Dancer in the opening event , Panca Delima in race 3 on Saturday and La Familia race 7 on Sunday, both horses were trained by SB Tan.
J De Souza also snatched a treble winning in the last three events of the day on Sunday with Tiger Bay in Race 8, Brother Wind, a pick up ride in Race 9 and Real Mean in Race 10.

Jockeys with two winners were Y Aify riding a race to race double on Thai Baht in race 1 and Thank You Boss in race 2 on Sunday, while Apprentice A. Suriya’s double were Panda Bomb in Race 7 and Street Champ in race 10 on Saturday.
Jockey Jackson Low’s double were Hero Champion in race 8 on Saturday and Mediation in Race 4 on Sunday.
Riders with single winners were Jockey SU Lim on Flying Shadow in race 2, KC Wong on Winged Foot in race 4, Apprentice J Daniel  won on Premium Rush in race 5, J Mallyon on Bella Veloce in race 6, all on Saturday, while Z. Khairil won with Mise En Garde in race 3, S. Ruzaini won with Forsa Eclipse in race 5 and Apprentice L De Souza winning with Browcow in race 6, all on Sunday.
