The six-year-old by Star Witness with Apprentice A Suriya in the saddle, was quick off the mark and thereafter was never really challenged even at the concluding stages of the race to win in a very convincing manner.
Trainer Mohd Sukri who has regrouped some potential horses in his yard, sent out So Hi Class (No. 9)to break the ice in Race 11. With Jockey Y Aify astride, the three-year-old by Dark Angel proved with the capabilities of a top class horse when coasted home an easy winner beating Q Nine Million over 1600m.
Lawson Moy’s Smiddy Byrne ridden by jockey KC Wong, finally broke the ice in Race 10 and bears watching next time out. The six-year-old O’Reilly was in midfield at the early stages of the race and came with a determined run at the final part of the race to beat Eagle Soar.
Trainer Frank Maynard’s Forsa Eclipse is truly a Champion Horse in the making when trashed the rivals in the Malaysia 3YO Championship Heat 2 in Race 8 on Sunday. The three-year-old by Showcasing has won twice from three outings and will surely be a top contender in the final Championship to be held in Perak in June.
Also, in the yard of trainer Maynard’s is Skydance Eclipse ridden by Jockey KC Wong, stepped up from his last start win for another resounding victory in Race 7. The four-year-old by Foxwedge, just left his rivals batting out for the minor spots when won in a fine fashion beating D’ Great Light.
