Trainer Shane Ellis Violet (inner horse) ran true to the form when beat Be Safe at the bobbing of the heads to win narrowly in the Supreme A event over 1300m in Race 7. The five-year-old by Mind Lane made a determined bid at the final stretch to win. Be Safe (outer horse) which lost at the post deserve another chance. The seven-year-old by Court Command came with the usual characteristic run at the closing stages but was beat at the shadows of the winning post.
First Season trainer HY Cheng’s Watch The Throne is definitely a top class horse after coasting home the second straight win in a row in the Max Two Stakes over 1300m in Race 5 on Sunday. The five-year-old by Pins was in close touch with the early leaders and slipped along the rails in the run home to beat Cuban Heel at the finish.
Richard Lines trained Super Hero should be heading for better company judging from the win in Class 4 (A) event over 1300m in Race 6. The eight-year-old by Rip Van Winkle came with a great effort in the run home to beat The Crown Jewel in the finish.
Fardus trained by Mohd Sukri ran a good third to Tarzan Boy in the Class 4 (B) event over 1300m in Race 7 is seen with a chance to greet the judges next time out. The four-year-old by Roc De Cambes came with greatt run at the closing stages of the race but could not sustain the effort.
Trainer AB Abdullah’s Sattar ran an eye-catching second to First Precinct in the Class 3 event over 1200m in Race 5 last Saturday. The six-year-old by Star Witness was well up with the pace at the early stages of the race and went down narrowly at the finish. Keep a close watch. His winning turn will come soon.
