SHOQEET, who last won in September last year, bounced back for his fifth win in 39 starts in a Class 5 – 1600m handicap.
GASSUR, who won four races in 2018, found the end of a long lane when he easily won another Class 4 – 1600m contest today, his first win for Abdullah. The Alamosa gelding has now five wins in 45 starts.
ISFAHAN had won his second Malaysia start in September last year after arriving from Ireland where he had 10 runs for a second placing.
ZANJABEEL, a recent transfer to Abdullah, was having his third outing for the trainer. The Fastnet Rock gelding won two races in Australia before heading to Singapore where he notched just win in 14 runs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Trainer V.V. Abdullah enjoyed a superb afternoon at Sungei Besi here today, saddling four winners  SHOQEET, GASSUR, ISFAHAN and ZANJABEEL  for Al-Arabiya Stable.
Abdullah, a former champion trainer in Bangalore, India, notched his first four-timer several months after making his Malaysia debut in 2019. He ended the year in 10th spot with 32 winners.

Last year, Abdullah finished ninth on the table with 20 winners in a season which saw racing halted for four months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Racing was again interrupted for several months this year and Abdullah had only eight winners to his name prior to today.
