Progressive four-year-old FORTUNE RISING should continue his winning sequence when he contests the RM100,000 Selangor Silver (1300m) on Sunday.

FORTUNE RISING arrived in Malaysia with big expectations, following some encouraging performances in black-type races in Australia. The HY Cheng-trained gelding has duly delivered for his local connections with three wins from as many starts, culminating with a Class 2 victory here a fortnight ago when resuming from a break of three and a half months.

FORTUNE RISING sailed away to score by 4.25 lengths, presenting apprentice jockey WH Lim with his first success. Despite not drawing favourably in gate 12 with 59kg, FORTUNE RISING is a class act on target to maintain his unbeaten local record.
