Following an impressive winning debut here last month, promising three year old CAPETIAN is on target for successive victories in the 1300m Class 4B contest at Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

CAPETIAN was kept relatively safe in the market despite an impressive trial win earlier in the month. The gelding defied the betting drift with  dazzling display when leading throughout to score by 2.5 lengths in a 1200m Restricted Maiden here on August 17.

Visiting South African jockey Kayden Brewer opened his Malaysian account last Sunday aboard Thunderous in the Tabcorp Trophy for trainer Simon Dunderdale. The pair will combine with CAPETIAN which looks a progressive type in the making and will be hard to beat from the good draw.
