Brazilan Jockey, Bernardo Pinheiro, conducted a training session for all Selangor Turf Club Apprentice Jockeys at the Selangor Turf Club Equestrian Centre on Thursday. Themed “Swing into the Saddle”, the super athletic Bernardo showed the 30 young riders the techniques for getting onto a racehorse without stirrups or assistance. In only six (6) years of race riding, Bernardo has ridden 424 winners in five countries; Brazil, Uruguay, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and six winners from his 24 rides here in Kuala Lumpur over two weekends. Bernardo was happy with the presentation made by the Apprentices towards the end of the training session. He thanked the staff of the Equestrian Centre for the use of their horses and their assistance in conducting the valuable session.
