RACE 1 (R1298) OPEN MAIDEN – 1300m (lc) ROSEBERY 1998 STAKES [WEIGHT-FOR-AGE]
ALESSIA BEAUTY (AK Lim) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
YOUARETHEBEST (KC Tham) which could not be boxed, was withdrawn by order of the Panel of Stewards at 1.49pm. The gelding will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.
WALIM (App CC Foo) jumped awkwardly and shortly thereafter, stumbled.
At approximately the 800M-mark, LEGACY FIGHTER (App Clyde Leck) was inconvenienced when COUNTRY LAW (AM Aizat) and ALESSIA BEAUTY rolled inwards.
Passing the 800M-mark, REBORN GENERAL (J Low) which was over-racing, rolled inwards slightly, inconveniencing JAMES BOND (App R Nuqman) which had to steady.
In a tightly-bunched field passing the 500M-mark, JAMES BOND had to be steadied.
Jockey S Saddam, the rider of TOP TURF was shown the video of his ride in the straight. He was warned to ride all his mounts out in a manner so as to leave no room for query in future. Furthermore, he is not permitted to accept the ride on TOP TURF without obtaining prior permission of the Stewards.
A post-race veterinary examination of TOP TURF (S Saddam) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 2 (R1299) CLASS 5 (B) – 1300m (lc) THE BEST IN TOWN 1994 HANDICAP
PROVOCATEUR, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised off fore sole, will be required to pass the veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
DAWNBREAKER (KC Tham) and PULAU PINANG (App R Nuqman) were slow into stride.
LUCK HAPPY (R Rueven) was inconvenienced shortly after the start by APOLLO ROCK (App WW Cheah) which was hanging out. Thereafter, APOLLO ROCK hung out throughout.
Jockey R Rueven, the rider of LUCK HAPPY reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of LUCK HAPPY revealed no obvious abnormality.
Post-race veterinary examinations of PULAU PINANG revealed that the gelding had returned lame near fore and GIANT KILLING (S Saddam) revealed no obvious abnormality. PULAU PINANG will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 3 (R1300) CLASS 5 (B) – 1300m (lc) EXCITING REVIEW 1995 HANDICAP
ULURU, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised near hind fetlock, will be required to pass the veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
BLUE EYED BOY (S Saddam) and ORION (AK Lim) were examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and were passed fit to start.
LIM’S KEYWAY (App R Nuqman) raced awkwardly after the start and bucked on a number of occasions.
Post-race veterinary examinations of SING ROULETTE (AM Aizat) and LIM’S KEYWAY revealed no obvious abnormality.
At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of SING ROULETTE was found guilty to a charge for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards under MRA Rule 44(10) in that:
1) Having been slowly away, he urged his mount to the front by going wide, covering unnecessary ground and entering the home straight wide, resulting in his mount tiring and being unable to race to its best advantage.
In assessing the penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into consideration Jockey AM Aizat’s guilty plea, disciplinary record and mitigating factors. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of six (6) months, effective from Monday, 7th November 2022 and to expire on 6th May 2023, both dates inclusive. In addition, he was fined the sum of RM20,000/- He was advised of his right of appeal (6.20pm).
WITHDRAWAL OF AN APPEAL FROM JOCKEY AM AIZAT AGAINST THE
SIX MONTHS SUSPENSION AND FINE OF RM20,000/- IMPOSED BY THE PANEL OF STEWARDS UNDER MRA RULE 44(10) IN CONNECTION WITH HIS RIDING AND HANDLING OF “SING ROULETTE” IN RACE 3 (R1300), CLASS 5 (B)– 1300M (lc), EXCITING REVIEW 1995 HANDICAP, SATURDAY, 5th NOVEMBER 2022,
2nd DAY, PERAK OCTOBER/NOVEMBER MEETING 2022
The Panel of Stewards acceded to Jockey AM Aizat’s application dated 26th December 2022 to withdraw his appeal on the above matter. Jockey AM Aizat’s suspension will take effect from today (27th December 2022) and to expire on Monday, 26th June 2023, both dates inclusive.
50% of Jockey AM Aizat’s appeal deposit will be refunded (RM2,500/-).

RACE 5 (R1302) CLASS 5(B) –1600m(lc) FIRE PHOENIX II 1997 HANDICAP
INTROIT (J Low) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
SING DARCI (M Yusri) was slow into stride.

RACE 6 (R1303) CLASS 4 (B) – 1400m (sc) KING’S SEAL 1993 HANDICAP
QADIRA MEDINA (Y Aify) and SHOWCASE THE GOLD (SS Vanan) were examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and were passed fit to start.
QADIRA MEDINA (Y Aify) which could not be boxed, was withdrawn at 4.19pm by order of the Panel of Stewards and the mare will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.
At approximately the 700M-mark, PLACE YOUR BET (SU Lim) and INHERIT (AM Aizat) were crowded and had to check. At a subsequent inquiry, Jockey SS Vanan, the rider of SHOWCASE THE GOLD pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding SHOWCASE THE GOLD, he shifted in when insufficiently clear, carrying INHERIT inwards onto PLACE YOUR BET, causing both these riders being crowded and having to check.
In assessing the penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into consideration Jockey SS Vanan’s guilty plea, disciplinary records and mitigating factors. Jockey SS Vanan was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) race days, effective from Monday, 7th November 2022 and to expire on Sunday, 27th November 2022, both dates inclusive. He was informed of his right of appeal (5.10pm).

RACE 7 (R1304) CLASS 4 (B) - 1200m (sc) WINNING TOUCH 1992 HANDICAP
DIAMOND RUSH, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised near fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Trainer S Cook requested that QUASAR be withdrawn, as there was no suitable rider available. The Panel of Stewards acceded to this request.
PERFECT MISSION (KC Tham) was obliged to race wide in the middle stages.
A post-race veterinary examination of SUPER SIXTYONE (AM Aizat) revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that BLACK AND WHITE (App WW Cheah) returned with a cut on its left hind bulb and SAGE (R Rueven) returned lame off fore. As such, BLACK AND WHITE will be required to pass a veterinary examination and SAGE will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
