Japanese Jockey Yamamoto Sakito will be in action on Sunday at the Selangor Turf Club.
The 23-year-old was granted an apprentice license by National Association of Racing (NAR) Japan in 2015 and has ridden 121 winners so far and was 2018 young jockey finalist.
Sakito can accept rides at 53 kg and above. He has two mounts on Sunday. He will be riding Burgundy Heights and Condado in Race 5 and Race 9 respectively.
The Selangor Turf Club has granted him a  ten month visiting jockey permit.
The last time a Japanese rider was seen in action on the local circuit was late Mitsuhiko Michikawa in the 1990-93 racing season. He won the Piala Emas Sultan Selangor on Ryujin in 1990 and won the Queen Elizabeth II Cup on Southern Dancer in 1992.
