Consistent Aljawhra holds a strong chance to capture this year’s running of the Sungei Besi Autoworld Cup on Sunday in Race 5 at Selangor Turf Club. Trained by AB Abdullah, the five-year-old by Reward For Effort displayed a great performance last outing when came with a determined run at the closing stages of the race to beat Splendor in a convincing manner. Looks well prepared and will be ridden by  W Faizal for another resounding victory. Do not rule out the chances of Shanghai Nights and Gariza, all are in great form and could figure out the finish.

Shane Edwards trained Mise En Garde looks formidable to win in the Class 4 (A) event over 1300m in Race 3. The seven-year-old by Dream Ahead gave a fair performance last outing when finished seventh to Galileo’s Approach over 1400m early this month at this course. Mise En Garde has been working very well in the morning workouts and will be ridden by Apprentice A Suriya should greet the judges this time out.


Last start winner Galileo’s Approach still in form for another victory in the Class 3 event over 1400m in Race 8. Lawson Moy trained eight-year-old by New Approach came with a well timed run to beat Super Hero over 1400m last start. Galileo’s Approach will now be ridden by Jockey J Shankar and looks hard to beat.


Trainer PS Kumaran’s Martin VJ (Red, white sleeves)  looks well prepared to break the ice in Class 4 (A) 1300m in Race 10.
The six-year-old by Bel Esprit, last outing finished third to Time To Harvest over 1400m last month.
Jockey R Shafiq has been elected to ride Martin VJ and should win this time out.
