Malcolm Thwaites trained Blue Eyed Boy looks perfectly fit to capture the Stayers Stakes B event over 1800m in Race 7 at Selangor Turf Club today. The nice looking four-year-old by Elusive Pimpernel showed a return to form last outing when flashed home a creditable second to Berlinetta in a Class 5 (A) event over 1600m at this course last week. Jockey R. Shafiq takes the ride on Blue Eyed Boy and the combination looks hard to beat. Do not rule of the chances of Moment Of Justice and Showar both are in form and could figure out the finish.
Trainer S. Sivakumar’s Nova Dashing has every chance to greet the judges in the Class 5 (A) event over 1400m in Race 3. The six-year-old by Darci Brahma showed up very well last outing when finished a good fourth to I Am Midas at Perak in November this year. Jockey AK Lim has been nominated to ride Nova Dashing and the pair stands out very well to win this time out.
Trainer Simon Dunderdale’s First Dance has been well prepared for a victory in Class 4 (A) over 1400m in Race 8. The six-year-old by Oncemorenomore ran a dismal 11th to Superstardom last outing over 1300m at this course in November this year. Discard that outing, First Dance has been working very well in the morning workouts and with regular jockey Jose De Souza in the saddle and the pair should greet the judges this time.
Lim’s Pershing a likely longshot for the day in the Class 4 (B) 1400m in Race 5. The Simon Dunderdale trained six-year-old by Pins showed no impression last outing when finished a dismal 11th to Mr Hopkins over 1400m last week. Lim’s Pershing has been freshened up since last start and with apprentice WW Cheah on board the combination is worth a flutter.
