Shanghai Nights won eight straight wins in a row at Sungei Besi racecourse in Supreme A event over 1400m long course last Sunday. The five-year-old New Zealand gelding by Ferlex out of Bigmissy, owned by Yang Qiong stable showed vast improvement with every run since it was transferred to trainer HY Cheng. The first win for the trainer was on 6th September 2020. Since then, Shanghai Nights was undefeated in all the races it ran. Shanghai Nights was foaled on 4th September 2015 and began its racing career in May 2019 and has to-date recorded 10 wins, two thirds and two fourth from 21 outings. Before the transfer, Shanghai Nights had only won two races for trainer Charles Leck. Apparently, all Shanghai Nights’ victories were set at the Sungei Besi Racecourse with distances ranging from 1400 metres to 1800 metres. Last year, Shanghai Nights captured the Sungei Besi Autoworld Cup and the Sports Toto Supreme Challenge Cup sponsored by Sungei Besi Autoworld and Sports Toto respectively. Shanghai Nights is showing great potential at each race and racing fans could look forward for more wins to come.
